My dad calls my mom by her name, as for my mom, she doesn’t really say his name, she would refer to him as tumhare abu, in ke abu, waghera waghera..
I am not married yet, but am engaged…i dont have a problem calling him by his name..when we are talking to each other, i never/or rarely call him by his name..(Not purposely though, just never felt the need)…but when i m talking about him to someone, i just say his name…
and he just calls me by my name..
I HATE pet names!!! can’t stand them…so neither of us will have any for eachother… :halo:

I call him by his name in public. At home it's various nicknames.
Funny thing is that he never calls me by my name in front of me so usually goes someething like this "Sunnoooo tumhara phone hai" and I am like mera naam bhi hai :p
Mili - just call him by his name. It is NOT disrespectful at all. It's 2007..

The key, I think, is to use the terms that you are most comfortable with, given your relationship and your environment.

I like calling him by his name and neither of us see anything wrong with it
no harm calling a husband by his name ................I am not married yet, ...i dont have a problem calling my husband by his name...
cuz it doesn't sound bad being called by his name(as my mum also calls by dad with his name and as so in my family.
Calling out ur hubbies by name is not the symbol of disrespect at all...

I dont know yet what I would like to be called by her.

throughout our engagement period i was not able to call him by his name either, i used to blush so badly … but now after shaadi i call him by his name

and always says app to him..cant say tum...like some khawateen says .suno tum kia ker raha y ho,,naaaaaaaaaaaaa..

i didn't even know it was a no no to call ur hubby by his name... i call him by his name all the time... come to think of it my parents didn't call each other by name.... times change though!!
