Re: By-elections: PTI secures PK-68 seat
Why is that? What is the difference?
TUQ (PAT) contested election 2002 and got 1 seats.
IK (PTI) contested election 2002 and got 1 seats.
Both got ~ same number of votes in 2002 election.
TUQ (PAT) boycotted 2008 election … siting that Paksitani electoral system is not fair neither elections are fair and free … is marred with pre-election rigging, during election rigging and post-election rigging … and is marred with rigging of all kind and worst is that, election system do not comply with Pakistan constitution, hence are illegal.
IK (PTI) boycotted 2008 election … siting that Pakistani electoral system is not fair neither elections are fair and free … is marred with pre-election rigging, during election rigging and post-election rigging.
That is the situation of both parties before 2013 election. … So … how can TUQ and IK position was different before 2013 election?
TUQ (PAT) boycotted 2013 election … citing that he would only contest election if election would be legal and according to constitution … and that is the reason he did dharna in front of parliament in 2013 … asking for implementation of constitution to select EC and allowing candidates contesting election.
IK (PTI) contested 2013 election … hoping that he might get something out of the system as he made mistake trusting one of the ugliest and most corrupt judge Pakistan has ever produced.
But now IK also says that even though he contested election, he found that nothing changed and the judge he trusted was actually corrupt, characterless, and paid servant of Thug Nawaz.
So, after Imran Khan (PTI) resigns from parliament, he would be in same position as TUQ (PAT) … out of parliament because he (as TUQ) considers that this parliament is illegal and as it does not comply with constitution.
