Look at it this way:
We destroyed their GOD like statue of Buddha, their god couldn't even save him self, they only burned Quran that was on paper, can they burn Quran which is in the hearts of 8 year old kids? No, they cannot.
Their purpose behind this was to make us mad and furious and hurt Islam/Muslims but we should stay calm because they have not put a rash on Islam and they will never be able to with their cowardly acts such as this one.

Also, the purpose of breaking of idols by All prophet was to show its peopel that those Gods cannot help themselves, they are useless piece of stones and NOTHING more. But heedless people still do not understand, as Allah said in Quran. They are deaf, dumb and they will not understand, so leave them for fire to eat them...that is why Allah made Hell for these ugly side of Humanity.

We should be careful while narrating some isolated act by some idiots in slandering the whole community .. be of any religion.. I have hindus here who would never agree or appreciate this shameful act which the pic showed... nor do majority of muslims including me would appreciate breaking of idols which is an unislamic act...
Can YB tell me how many idols were broken outside mecca if its such a fabolous act.. in Prophet Muhammad's time or Sahabas .. why didnt they broke all churches, temple, synagogues in Arabia or all over the muslim world... the answer to that to me is there is an ethical code in all religions that to protect other faiths sacred places and convert by persuation... how can of convert someone to muslim by breaking the persons place of worship?
Mahmud ghaznavis lust for wealth caused inrepareable loss to muslims taht Islam didnt spread much in south India... Aurangzebs intolerance towads minority religions stopped spread of Islam... We shoulsd always analyse black spots and mistakes some of our own people did in past and try not to repeat them...

prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was the example for human kind,The Kaba is the house of Allah, idols had to be broken, the Kaba had to be purified Upon Fateh-Makkah when almost the entire City embraced Islam, there were no Kafereen left in kaba. when he came back to makkah he forgave the nonmuslims when was in powerthat when fateh makkah took place (look at the way treated him before).

Only demolished the ones in Khana Kaba, in the house of Allah for the worship of Allah! And so the Talaban’s demolishing of the Budda is least related and is only a Political Decision-like most of their other decisions and actions.

I agree everyone's religion should be respected lekin I dont think we are in the position to analyze what our Prophet (PBUH) did..for one thing it was a completely different era and we have no idea what it was like then.
As for this burning...WRONG !! Lekin guys, Islam is much more divine then that.. it can't be hurt or burned by anyone.. this is a pathetic / unsucessful attempt to bring us to thier levels. We are beyond that... !
