i think the thing with BK is that when you charge that much for a bridal, you really only have two options: 1. deal with some clients who want to SEE the money they've put into a jora, hence demand quantity over (overall) quality, instead of focusing on the overall look of the outfit and the kind of kaam and effort that goes into it. 2. give the client what they want. as a vendor, i can tell you, there are times when you want to be creative and give your client something unique, but in the end, you have to realise its not your gig- they are paying you for a service and you guide them to the best product you can produce, but if they insist on something in particular (in BK's case, for eg, head to toe kaam), then that's what you give them.
and i think its such a shame- because she's a true coutourier- you would never go to Chanel and ask them to make you a wedding dress just like the one someone else wore. you would want a Chanel original. similarly, when you go to BK, you should ask her to make you a BK original and trust in her talent. unfortunately, it seems like too many of these brides have shown up with pictures of other girl's wedding dresses and asked for copies and hence you see the same style over and over. of course, another reason for that, too, is that style is trendy. and people want what is trendy.
so yeah, that's my opinion on this debate of Bunto creating the same thing over and over :)

i think the red one ends up looking like a sana safinaz! or even an hsy... thats what i meant when the bride said when you go silver or 'different' with bunto she looses a 'unique' feeling... hmmm
and the blue one looks anything from zardozi in lahore or even barkat ali... i have seen something similar there for around 85,000...

wow that sounds really stuck up...maybe 3 laks is nothing to you, but its more than many girls in Pakistan have to spend on just a bridal.

I’m not a fan of alot of Bunto’s designs. Alot of them look the same, at the brides’ request Im sure, not every jora of hers is appealing, and some of them look very busy indeed. But there are also stunning bridals by her which are just 
so I think it’s just a matter of personal choice and liking. I’m not sure where you’re hearing that she won’t make you something different for 3 lakhs and you need to shower her with 5-6 lakhs to get a nice dress, have you gotten your bridal from her or have you spoken to her? She will make you a different and nice bridal for 3 albeit light, and she just won’t load it with kaam like she would with her 5-6 lakhs dresses but I don’t think she’s shallow like you’re making her out to be. Personally, HSY’s designs appeal alot to me but the attitude you will get from his team.. just puts you off. Of ALL the designers I have spoken to, she has been the NICEST and most down to earth. The price is a killer yes, but she’s definitely on the top. So go to her if you like her, otherwise there are so many out there in the market.

LOL! My thought, exactly! I don't know about others but I would SO NOT pay even pay 1 lac for this, forget about paying 0.6 million rupees.

I'd share my thoughts on Bunto Kazmi's designs. I do like the mashriqi (Eastern) touch her creations have and it's probably something I'd like to have on my wedding day BUT, like many girls out there, I also do think that many of her joras look the same to me just with different color combination.
Also, there is something else that bothers me about many of her designs. Many a times, the shirts look like they have been filled with work and emroidery just to justify the price of it. They look atrociously overdone and borderline ugly but I'm not sure if it's she who comes up with this idea of filling every nanometer of the shirt with embroidery or it's her clients who demand it. In any case, they DO NOT look tasteful.

honestly, a 3 lakh jhora with bunto has to be mighty light...because every single jhora i ask about is in the 5-6 lakh category.
but, then again, any other designer you contact is in the same range. bunto will give you a lot of embroidery for 5-6 lakhs, but for me personally, it's not my style, and no amount of heavyness on the kaam bit is gonna change my taste preference.
i do have to say though - bunto brides pay a great deal of attention to all of the bridal details from hair, makeup and most importantly, jewelry. in my opinion, that's half the battle. its not just about the dress, but the other things matter just as much...otherwise,...you'll notice a nice dress and forget the bride! what's the fun in that.
