Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

I did not even watch the video .. :hehe:

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

^ well thats just sad then.

She is a talk show host, she is doing her job. I did not see any coersion going on, watch the whole show before labelling her, don't take it out of context. She discusses the personal life of her celebrities on this show along with the professional but she never does it in a mean spirited way or making them uncomfortable in the process.

Recently she asked Faryal Gohar about her divorce from Jamal Shah, Faisal Qureishi about his 2 failed marriages, Abid ali about his second marriage and his estranged relationship with Iman. I am 100% sure that these questions are discussed before the program because these celebrities do not discuss their personal life in such detail on any other talk show, they actually avoid the questions. They probably trust Bushra and feel comfortable doing so with her on her show.

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

I did not watch the video cause there was no need for it. No matter which way you put it, whole industry knows how sensitive that topic is for Roohi Bano. Asking her questions about it on your show is totally unprofessional.

firstly, she can choose to look as young or as old as she wants. it's funny that people whine about personal lives, etc and yet don't hesitate a sec before calling her all kinds of names for committing the gunah-e-kabira of trying to looking good. I think Bushra looks lovely. the sari look is very elegant. Iqbal Ansari is a very lucky man. had I been born a generation earlier, I would have definitely tried to convince this gorgeous, intelligent woman to marry me.

secondly, asking a person a little bit about their personal life should not be a problem especially when there is a lot of disinformation about the person floating around. she asked Abid Ali about Iman because people are curious about it and make up all kinds of stuff. she gave Abid sahib the opportunity to clarify his position which he did. he responded in a very dignified manner and imo, gave very sensible answers.

thirdly, it's a very interesting new development where people must express outrage when outrage is being expressed by the majority. there are people in this thread getting their panties in a knot over a video which they don't know the context of. I'll be rude and ask how many people in this thread actually speak and understand Urdu perfectly. secondly, I will ask the question how many people know Bushra. and I don't mean know her casually as some sort of a celeb. I mean know her as in her background, what kind of work she's done, her class as a veteran artist, her credibility as a decent person that she's built over decades in the public eye.

fourthly, to all the outraged people I would say go and watch the full video. Bushra gave Roohi the utmost respect. she tried to demonstrate the love, respect and adoration the Pakistani people have for the great Roohi Bano. she gave a lot of laad to Roohi. she's always respectful of her guests but with Roohi she was extra loving and respectful. she did ask a sensitive question which perhaps should not have been asked because Roohi is not well. but there is no reason to get horny about why Bushra tries to look young or how she's become a witch/biatch just because she asked a personal question. so, all the self-righteous maulanas and moulvanis it's okay. keep your pants on. everything's going to be okay. tomorrow will be a new day.

I've seen her in karachi she's far prettier then she looks on tv.
Irrespective of her age, she has maintained herself well. Besides, age is a state of mind.

there could be many possibilities:

  • maybe bushra asked those personal questions to rohi without any bad intentions-without realising rohi was hurt by them

  • maybe bushra thought that this way she can share rohi'z sorrow

  • rohi might have said yes u can ask these questions-coz maybe rohi wanted these questions to be asked so that she can tell the media and share her sorrow

  • maybe (if) bushra asked them on purpose just to add some spice to her show then thats really bad on her and on the shows diectors/prducers part.

personally i dont think that bushra would do anything like that since she is an educational lady and surely she wont make fun of someone's feelings-where to when these feelings are related to a very sad event.

finally i would say i never knew about rohi'z son'z murder...and to see rohi in this state is totally depressing...may allah give her health.ameen

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

err and why are we dissing the host? Her job was to ask questions not to sit and stare at her sari - She asked what million people already wanted to know, these questions are pre-planned according to the viewers need..sheesh you people!

That's a bit harsh.

lets make our mind first about whose personal life can be commented upon and whose cannot ..

I agree completely ... I have been a host to many shows myself , in the past ...Can I just let you guys know that in most of these events :

1- The guest is under no compulsion to reply to all the questions , they are given full liberty to not respond to or pass the questions they dont wish to answer.

2- It is a recorded programme , mostly the recording CD is shown to the guest , they are also given a copy of it , before the show goes on air ... if they object to anything even at that point , the editingteam removes the objected bit.

3- The guest is not under any sort of contract with the show. If they wish to walk out , considering that the host is prowling into their personal life, the guest can very well walk out , there is nothing anyone can do to force them down.

In Roohi's case , she was a actress in a class of her own , I am so glad to see her on air after ages ... I dont think Bushra exploited Roohi's situation at all ... She must have come with her full consent .. and her family's consent. The only think i dont like at all is the way Bushra carries her expressions , they make her look childish and non serious.

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

Bushra Ansari is highly over rated....she really needs to calm herself down with her age....

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

I am should B.Ansari is happy with this discussion people here talking about what she did for Trp ect...have probably helped whoever increase the trp of this show themselves..look at the arguments here..wow! any kind of publicity is welcome by the celebrities ;)

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

Bushra doesn't do anything wrong in this video I think. She keeps saying ok jo ho gaya Allah ki marzi.. etc.. Like lets move on talk about smething else...but Roohi Bano does want to talk about it... Nothing wrong with that either. She just want to share her anger/sadness. that's all..

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

ughhhhhh bushra is SOOO annoying

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

nadia khan brings up all kinds of crap with her guests ... just watch her show and you will see for yourself.

I'm quite disappointed people are making digs at bushra's 'youthful' appearance. She looks good for her age and that's just a fact.

Patriot X is right. Have you watched the interviews with Faryal Gohar? Faisal Qureshi or even Javed Sheikh? The latter two sobbed when she brought up sensitive topics for them. I don't think she crossed the line at all.

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

I did not see so much problem with the interview myself. Opinion may vary though.

For those who criticize Bushra, have to understand, an artists personal life is not really a personal life. Good or bad is shared. Artists look for sympathy from their viewers or just want to make people aware of some social issues.

Read this and see Eric Clapton was interviewed about his son’s death. Just one example.

Eric Clapton remembers his son?s death - Access Hollywood - msnbc.com

If anything I was expecting more of remorseful remarks or prayers for Roohi Bano’s son’s death.

ILWIAR.

Also any comment on these kind of heinous crimes so commonly occurring? I know this is not the section for it but I think this interview should make everyone think for a moment and condemn these crimes with some solution in mind.

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

Geotv's managemet has a Talent of Black Marketing, making people cry, just for increasing rating for their Pathetic channel.

:k:

Re: Brunch with Bushra - shameful!

sad.

This was very difficult to watch. Bushra shouldn't have brought it up, or if she had she should have done a better job at handling such a sensitive topic.
