Now today i called to laiqa's beauty salon and i talked with tayyaba's sister ..She said that the bridal makeup charges with services is 14500/- Rs. and the valima makeup is for 10k Rs. :)

Yeah in portfolio all the valima pix were gorgeous but not in real..I liek the wedding bride ..She was reallllllllly kewl and rocking :) She wore diamond set and bought her dress from islamabad..

Yes mahismart i m talking about Sarah...I saw both wedding and valima bride in real @ sabs But i like the wedding makeup...I didnt go to Mona J but my sister in law want me to go there :( I really want to do my valima makeup from ALLENORA ...
I have to go with my MIL to buy my wedding and valima lehenga on monday..I'm very confuse now..please list down all the lehenga shop names..She is saying that she will not search many shops that's why i'm thinking to check all the lehengas with my mama first and then will go with the MIL...Please give ur suggestions also..Sharara will be better for the wedding or gharara??

@ mahismart -> yeah i bought my valima outfit..Didnt book any parlour , will have to book it next month inshaAllah...I will go to SABS for wedding makeup but still dont know where to go for valima makeup :S
For photography, i checked DOSSANI'S...His Albums are good but not tooo different from an ordinary one...

whats the price range for rimjhim? i've always seen it mentioned here as a good alternative to designer brands and their high prices but then I recently heard they cost around 1.5 lakhs. is that really true? whats their price range??

fasaadi, they have good quality stuff and as for the price it is to similar the designers. I don't think they bargain a lot. You can put 'Jabeens' and 'Rimjhim' in the same price range. Someone got an engagement pishwas from there for Rs. 35,000.

^do you know how much their bridals are? Most designer bridals would start at 2 lakhs I think and formals would start at 50K so guessing by your quote, they're not quite in the same price range, are they?
Also, I think Jabeens and RimJhim are owned by the same people...

Yup, you are right, they are owned by the same people. I think they start from Rs. 15,000 for formals and from Rs. 50,000 for bridals. Their very high range bridals should not cost more than 2 lakhs.

I'm very curious to know how a high-range jora at Jabeens'/Rim Jhim would compare with a low-range designer jora if they both cost around 2 lakhs.
Does anyone see a significant difference in quality at designers vs. boutiques?

I went to RimJhim a few months ago (June) and they were quoting like 1 to 1.5 lakh for every dress we saw. They didn't bring the prices down alot.
At Jabeen's, I was quoted almost 1.5 lakh for the dress I've ordered but brought it down to 90,000 even though we changed it to a gharara (which are more expensive).
But they were all full of kaam at both places, good quality and beautiful. Dunno how different it is from designer wear.
Went to Jabeen's last week, they've got some amazing new bridals in, in beautiful color combos.
