Bridal Shopping in Karachi - Outfits, Shoes

Salaaaamz Everyone!

I am currently in Karachi searching for my wedding lehnga, but so far have had no luck. If you guys could name some of the popular stores/boutiques that are well known for wedding/valima lehngas it would be much appreciated. I visited some of the designers e.g. deepak perwani and HSY at Zamzama to get ideas but the prices were insane! Also, I can’t special order as I do not have enough time. I really wanted something with a terrain in the back, but apparently if you want something like that, you need to special order it :frowning:

Eeeeks! I’m running out of time :(. Please help me…

Thanx soooooo much!..i really appreciate it!

Re: Bridal Shopping in Karachi! Plz Help!

Go to the Clifton area, theres rim jhim, bridal fashions, the mall..

Re: Bridal Shopping in Karachi! Plz Help!

Train at the back is a faded fashion unless its a tight mermaid with a small train (atleast that is what my family in Pakistan tells me)

Re: Bridal Shopping in Karachi! Plz Help!

Try Mahbub baksh- you should be able to find lehngas in the 35,000- 65,000 rsrange there.

Re: Bridal Shopping in Karachi! Plz Help!

well...if u wanted sumthing really special n nice.u should've placed an order 2 months ago or sumthing

in this lil time you've time its really really hard to find sumthing gud ready to wear..and ofcourse the designer's clothing is extremely expensive

all i can suggest is check around clifton / zamzama area and try to find ready made bridal there...or u can check out nadia mistry at parktowers!
u might not b able to find sumthing according to what u want..but give it a try!

Re: Bridal Shopping in Karachi! Plz Help!

Go to: Samanzaar (Shayanne Malik) at the corner of Do Talwar clifton; Hubsch (Zamzama lane 5 i think); The Designers (main Zamzama); Resham Rivaj (Zamzama lane 6); maria B Park towers); or just go to Saddar banarsi market...there are like 60 shops there all selling bridal wear...youll definitely find something there and cheap as well compared to zamzama....if it still doesnt help, get in touch with me ill then give you numbers of some designers who work from home and may help.

Re: Bridal Shopping in Karachi! Plz Help!

Thanks Everyone for your quick responses. I'll definitely check out the stores you all mentioned. Alot of the stores i've been visiting have alot of old stock. Not the latest stuff if you know what i mean. I went to a store call the Rabi Saree Emporium and wasn't too impressed with what they had. I don't mind paying a little more for something great, but the designer prices were just ridiculous.

Please keep them coming!

Bridal Shopping in Karachi - Outfits, Shoes

Hi
I am new here, still trying to figure out how to work this thing. lol.. I've checked the website out a few times and read the posts, alot of interesting and helpful information! You guys are really good with the information.

I'm going to karachi in three weeks time and only have three weeks to do my engagement shopping. I do have quite a good idea of the shops/boutiques i want to go to but to be honest it can get quite confusing becasue theres so much to do and so many places to go. I really don't know what to settle for. I know i can easily get a ready made lengha but i have designed my own but i'm worried about where to get it made from, where to go for fabric sourcing and if the guy will do a good job of embroidery. I don't want it to end up looking cheap, nasty and a quick job lol. Any idea of tailors who won't rush in to it and will do quality embroidery with good stones and stuff. I think a place called paposh that i've been to is quite popular for embroidery and wedding shopping? I've been to tariq road too which is quite good

What do you guys think?

Re: Shopping in Karachi

umm for quality work check out Gulf, Kehkishan, aashiana, kurtuba might have sumthing nice too, and just basically stick to high class areas as you can only get sum nice work frm these areas..
Khadi and Zamzama r great if you re looking for boutiques, designer wear and unstiched clothing..and plus shoes..n handbags!!!

Wedding Shopping in Karachi?

Salaam all! I am going to Karachi next week to do my wedding shopping and inshallah get both my wedding and walima dress, any advice on which shops/boutiques I should go to? Re: Wedding Shopping in Karachi?

I've just come back from Karachi few weeks ago, went to do shopping for brothers wedding. Got my engagement outfit same time. I have to say prices are ridiculous there! Just as expensive as uk. I normally do my fancy shopping from tariq road since i design my clothes myself and go to a few boutiques i trust.

Wanted to go zamzama and boutiques in clifton this time but didn't have enough time. I was only there for 3 weeks and no one at first was willing to make anything other than shalwar kameez in that amount of time as i want it to be embroidered.
Also i didn't have any particular boutiques in mind so when you get to karachi try and start your shopping as soon as possible whereever you go becasue if like me you want it embroidered then they want as much time as possible! Most places told me they take over 4-6 months for wedding outfits.
I know this may sound silly but just a word of advice, try not to make it look like your from outside, if you are, because some places will charge you much more than they would normally.
I'm surprised youve only got 3-4 weeks for YOUR wedding shopping! Thats sooo little time! Good luck! Lol
