don't forget to give her and her cheelay/karinday/staff some tip.... otherwise the whole staff, under the supervision of raheela, will start swearing at you upon your exit.

my sister got her makeup for her wedding done there and EWWWW it looked soo bad! raheela caked her faace WHITE. LIKE CHALK WHITE. and my sisters neck and arms were wheatish color. her makeup looked so bad thank god for photo editing but uff it didnt look good and i told her also. she was upset but she couldnt do anything last minute- and this parlour is so nastyy it has roaches crawling on the walls and its just really nasty. I waas suppose to get my makeup from her also but i changed my mind after i saw my sisters LOL. but i suggest DONT go to raheelas.
check out hicksville, they have a place called New look - they do very good makeup. my best friend got it done from there and it looked awesome. theres a while strip in hicsville and theres many salons there so check em out. good luck :)

Thank you all for your suggestions...we were actually thinking of going to Raheelas but i was so disappointed by the looks of her salon. eekh..I asked where they get the brides ready and she pointed at this bench right in the middle of the chaos and says "right there"...talk abt making one feel special on thier wedding day! :)

So I got engaged two weeks ago and being from Brooklyn I was instructed to go to Raheela...did NOT do that...went to a couple of trials and did not like the work at all...I finally found this ONE makeup artist that is very contemporary. She does not do the whole caking on thing and does your makeup REALLY natural with a bit of dramatic eyes. She's highly talented and took care of me really really well. Also, she is not that pricey AT ALL...i found a great deal cheaper than raheela and it came out amazing. Her name is Lucky and her Studio is called Lucky Noor Studio located on 86th street in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. She typically does Italian brides but has recently started doing desi brides. Believe me she is amazing. If you want to see some of her work you can PM me at any time and I will show. Her trial is 80 dollars and she travels back and forth from Cali to NY (does Rachel Rays makeup and all). A big NO to SInghar by Ayesha khan ..she did mine and charged me $1000 for 2 days and I still regret my decision and the money I spent. My make over was awful I looked more pretty without it and the hair style was so bad I mean straight maang and lose matha patti my mother in law hated it. In pictures my hair were looking as if I have applied hair oil. Yukh my cousins said she didn't justice with ur features and the make up she did wasn't even worth $100 even MAC or Sephora artist can do way better jobs.on my barat day the foundation she used on me was 4 shade darker whereas I have medium light skin.and she had no lash curler nothing at all and made my eyes look small while bride's eyes should be popped out.she has a very bad attitude problem won't listen to you. my friends who are average looking were looking so pretty on their wedding days in Pakistan I guess pak make up artists are better then here.
