Re: Bridal, Formal & Casual Wear from Lahore based designer

^not for the quality of his zari, in my opinion.
the same stuff can be made cheaper, if you compromise on the zari materials and intricacy.

i was in lahore looking for someone to make my wedding clothes (other than designer names) and his was the only work i was really satisfied with in terms of the kaam. way beyond what the popular shops in liberty had to offer, that looked very nice from afar but was anything but intricate and detailed close up.

even the lahorites i was staying with were impressed with my clothes. yes, they thought they were expensive too but not overpriced for what they are.

wow that dress is gorgeousssss

Re: Bridal, Formal & Casual Wear from Lahore based designer

most gorgeous clothes ever...i can say that kapra is classy, colours rock and embroidery actually makes the outfit look expensive...i sooooooo want that red outfit, its way too cute..

yea.. it's not my personal style (wearing red for wedding) but when i saw it i was like 'wow good job'. for a red bridal it is lovely.

i think if the hot pink was aubergine instead, it would also look awesome.

thanks for the positive feedback shaitaani! :)

he does put a lot of effort into selecting really good quality materials and doing high quality embroidery, so it's such a boost when people appreciate it!

Re: Bridal, Formal & Casual Wear from Lahore based designer

Im lovin alll the outfits u've posted , n from the looks the kaam is so well done! =)

Re: Bridal, Formal & Casual Wear from Lahore based designer

Do u mind sharing the shirt of your beige n turquoise dress ? :)

lol, not at all. that's why I put it here! people are having a hard time accepting the cost but i bought the fabric myself so i know how much that costs and also that the kaam i selected for him to do was one of his more expensive samples!
i don't wear such heavy outfits so i spend the money in other ways, lol.

Just got my sister’s outfit from him today.

I was very specific about how this one should turn out - the fabric, the colours and the type of kaam. However, I did not ask to see anything along the way; neither colour swatches, fabric nor kaam samples, so I think he did a great job. Love the banarsi he chose for the kameez. I intend to take a better photos in the daylight tomorrow.
[Please feel free to download the photos and check properties to see that I really did take them today!]

Here’s the breakdown if you would like to order your own from him:

Duputta: Crinkle Chiffon Banarsi in in Light Peach-Pink and finished with mint green piping

Re: Bridal, Formal & Casual Wear from Lahore based designer

^ wow lovely, I can see that his sewing is very neat and he pays attention to details!

Re: Bridal, Formal & Casual Wear from Lahore based designer

^thanks Saadia!
Yea, his tailors/tailoring is pretty pricey but I'm happy to pay that extra because everything comes out so neat and well-fitted. Without me getting a brain aneurysm having to specify each and every detail as he makes sure the tailors get all the details right himself.
My friend who used to live in Lahore had a tailor who charged the same and was equally as good. But man, he was a difficult guy and always very busy so it was hard to get things on time and you had to spend ages in his tiny shop giving him all the details!

Re: Bridal, Formal & Casual Wear from Lahore based designer

omg that pink dress is absolutely flippin gorgeous! he is definately the best on gupshup...he smashes all the other women who claim to be designers but reading peoples experiences, they love to rip their customers off with cheap materials, tacky stitching and bad embroidery. I am actually gonna order a suit that i need for a wedding in august inshAllah. How long does he take per outfit stoppit?

Re: Bridal, Formal & Casual Wear from Lahore based designer

^aww, thanks shaitaani.

i hope that no one is ever worried in regards to what you said, with him. i rather like being on GS and would never associate myself with someone who I thought would ever compromise or do a bad job. he always does the best work for me and i trust he will do the same for all his other customers. bring proud of his work and producing a good quality end product that the client is happy with really means a lot to him.

in regards to how long an outfit takes, it really depends on the outfit. for one that you want to wear for a wedding, i would say minimum 2 weeks. he's also a little busy right now so to make sure it's with you well before the date, i'd think about confirming the order soonish.
