Bridal, Formal & Casual Wear from Lahore based designer

Hey ladies (and gents?),

These outfits are by the ‘designer’, who does all my tailoring and my casual and formal outfits. You will see some of my own outfits in this thread as it progresses.

I deal with him in person when I go to Lahore, otherwise via the phone and internet. Either way, he always successfully produces my outfits, as I want them. If you’re in Lahore, he’s quite willing to come to your residence to discuss your needs.

I am not a vendor for him and no orders are placed through me. All business is done directly with him. I’m just doing some advertising on his behalf as I think he’s a great person deal with and he’s really passionate about what he does.

If you’re interested in any outfits, please feel free to message me for his contact details. You will need to be able to speak Urdu (mine is really bad and I manage so it should be okay!). I also don’t mind helping anyone out in regards to what to send him in terms of measurements. The more detailed they are the better your fitting will be.

He has an email, but it really would be best to call and discuss your requirements e.g. how soon you want the outfit, changes and a new quote if required etc and then back this up with an email. He’ll tell you the best way to proceed in terms of sending him the measurements, payment and what shipping you want.

I’m working on getting him to send better photos. He might not be able to just yet though, given technological restraints. However, if you want reassurance about the close-up quality of the kaam, please check out my pics in the above mentioned thread.

Please note that I asked him to give fixed prices that are reasonable and I think he has achieved that given the quality of his work. If you read my other thread, you will know that I was not as impressed anywhere else in Liberty with the quality of kaam and finishing. The materials he selects are always high quality (although you can ask for cheaper stuff if you want). The kaam is some of the most intricate and neatest I’ve seen, using the best quality materials (swarovski crystals, zero size dabka, zero size cut dana, real crystals, real semi precious gems). The finishing of always to a high standard. I don’t think these are your average wear once/twice formals, rather pieces for a family wedding or for your wedding trousseau.

Outfits can be modified however you want to suit your taste and budget. Or you can send him your own designs or outfits to copy, as I do. If selecting this second option, please be specific in regards to your price range and what sort of kaam you are looking for. His first preference is always to go for the most intricate and highest quality, whereas you might want a full look but not be so fussed about using expensive crystals, the tiniest dabka etc etc.

I think this one would be really nice in sleeveless and a different colour.

I’m having the white one made for myself with modifications. Under-layer in silk, top layer in chiffon jamawar with silver booti’s. No neck band, No filling work. Just kaam in the places I have indicated in the below picture. Trousers in Silk with lining. And change the colour to a pale lilac/grey. He quoted me a lot less for this obviously.

I’m also having the below outfit copied. Don’t know the price yet as he’s getting the quote sorted. I sent him the material from England as I wanted pure silk chiffon.

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

Wow stunning outfits indeed & reasonably priced to. Im looking for a formal outfit to wear for my cousins wedding in July. Do you know if he has any salwaar kameez's as thats what im looking for?
Thank you for posting the pictures..

Hi Shazzy, glad you like them. He'll be pleased to hear that because he was pretty worried about whether people would like them or not - he takes these things to heart!
He told me earlier today that he will send me some more pictures in the next few days, I will ask him to try and include some shalwar kameez's.
Having said that, you can change any of the the above to come with a shalwar. Or if you have design you would like to copy, you can send that and ask for a quote, including all details like the kind of cloth and kaam.

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

Thanks for that I was in lahore in March this year & I had a few outfits mate from a shop called Andaz fashions turned out pretty good. But nothing compared to the ones you have posted they are stunning. I have no idea about material or embroidery I just know if it looks good I want it :)

but thank u so much il look forward to seeing the pictures of the salwaar kameez

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

excuse me, were you not the one complaining about the high prices of designers here: http://www.paklinks.com/gs/fashion-beauty/320019-bazaar-outfits-designers.html, and now you are advertising someone whose prices are not really at the low side, ainit?

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

i love the white one!! i've been on a search for something white with only white tone kaum, and have yet to find the perfect one. i think it could be perfect with a little less kaum for me :) but yea totally out of my budget for now :(

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

would that style really suit someone with bigger hips tho? hmm......

have a look at the mods I made for myself and see what you think - it came out a lot cheaper as this one was too pricey for me too. i couldn't figure out why until i asked him and he was like 'baji, it's FULL of swarovksi's and zircons', i was like 'dude, you gotta get a better pic!'

i think if you do what i have done and go for lighter weight materials - silk and chiffon instead of jamawar, it will be more flowy. also, it doesn't cinch in at the waist which could be a problem for bigger hips.

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

tht Navy oufit is looking hawt!

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

stunning outfits!!!
do you have pictures of bridals?

yea - i hate navy though, i dunno why! i think with it would like awesome in emerald green with silver, emerald green with bronze, red with silver, black with gold and silver.... ok i could go on and on, lol.

not yet shaz, i will put in a request though.
to be honest, if you have sort of an idea of what you already want, you can sent him pics etc and ask for a quote. i did that with my own. i knew the colours i wanted, i knew the style of lengha skirt i wanted (double layer with a slit with gold+silver+broze banarsi inside and chiffon on top) etc etc, so i gave him pictures of all and fully explained it. i approved a kaam sample after two weeks.

does he send kaam/fabric/color samples to customers abroad?

i don't think he'd refuse, as long the buyer has enough time to wait for things to approve them. i guess anything like that would be an additional cost (just for things like the postage and stuff) at the moment though, because he hasn't factored in costs like that to his outfits. but that's probably the better way to do it - keep the prices low in general and anyone needing the extra service can pay that extra.

personally, i'd chose the colours you want and send those to him. rather than vice versa. it can be from a piece of anything in any material. if someone sends you a selection you are always limited. whereas you can chose whatever colour. for my nikah outfit (inside shirt) i went to a fabric shop, found the colour i wanted and sent him the swatch. i don't think i'd have gotten that colour if choosing from a fixed palette.

fabric is always the best quality so unless you don't know the feel/fall of particular fabrics i don't think you'd need to be sent them- just a good quality photo would suffice if you want to see the pattern on a banarsi or jamawar. same for the kaam, but if it's a bridal i'm sure there'd be no problem sending the samples.

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

stoppit, I will post my comments when I stop drooling and admiring your taste. You are a lucky gal! Wish you loads of happiness!

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

yea make sure you take pics of the white outfit u ordered when u get it!

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

^aww thanks ladies. White (changed to pale grey/lilac) outfit will be a while yet as I think I will wait til I'm going to Pakistan before I ask him to start (he was kinda upset when I said that, lol).

But that black outfit (changed to dark dark brown) should be here in 2-3 weeks, so I will definitely put those pictures up.

Re: Formal Wear from Lahore based designer

And just to let you all know that he has sent me some really nice pictures of the kaam on the Navy and Pink outfits. And also really good photos of 4 new outfits. There are two that I just love. I will be putting them up in a few hours when I get home from work!

p.s. Just received a pic of the white one, can't wait to put it up!
