Captain: Its easier to comment than to understand why is it happening! Induced ignorance and throwing the masses below poverty-line, robbing them of their resources and controlling their States from behind the scenes by the most civilized nations in the world have a very meaningful part in this whole scenario.
Rukhsar: You are welcome.
Ghazala: Thanks for seconding me. I was feeling like hearing the news again.
2 possibilities come to mind about why this happened. Either a certain group who is against Eid Milad-un-Nabi or a group who wants to restart Shia-Sunni violence like in Iraq. Americans or Israelis would gain nothing from instability in Pakistan when they have Musharraf in power. They have Iran to worry about right now. They don’t need another hostile nuclear capable state in Pakistan.
JonyBR, please stop using that icon in your posts. It doesn't fit in with the mood. Thanks
We all know they are the one who start killing shia’s and now they are after sunnnies (brailvies) — who are considerd moderate and very peaceful group not been invloved in any terrorist or sect. violance in the past. They don’t have any tolerance towards others and are keen to call for heads who don’t accept their religious beliefs. HOW ****TY IS THAT
like you we live walking distance to nishtar park infact my father was lingering around the park when that blast thing happened.
** capricon:** allamah kokat noorani sahab servived by the grace of god. My sister talked to his brother he was taken to liaquat national and treated for burises on his back but overall he is fine and have been discharged. Alhamdulilhah we have family terms with him. May Allah saray ullamah ki hifazat farmaeN Amen.
** Faisal:** you are so right! I have seen such extremist views where they are tought that the only option left to them is to kill who ever is invovled in activities whichh they consider biddah. I don’t know why they are so keen to label everyhting bidah and shirk that doesn’t fit their idiology. They are simply disgraceful when they do so!
**kehkeshan: **to me it was an attempt to kill sunni ullamah and infact more than 4 ullamas death has been confirmed by now.
I dont want to indulge in theological discussion but my common sense derived out of the religious books I have read dictates that we are not required to sit in judgement and kill those whom we find to be involved in Biddat. Let the Council of Learned (Ijma) or through act of Ijtihaad, these things be resolved. I doub that such Councils would ever call for mass killing of those involved in Biddat! Its my opinion.
I beg to differ from you that America or Israel dont have to gain from instability in Pakistan. Were they not, you would have found Americans working with Pakistanis like they do with Indians lately. Its in our instability that these two can maneouvere having their ways imposed on us.
Its really really easy to understand who would attack an ambulance, I wasn't referring to overall bombing and riots, only senseless criminals who are just like stray dogs would attack an ambulance.
One reason could be that Ambulances were attacked or were attempted to be stopped by close relatives/friends of other severely injured people. Wallah Alam!
Do not hurry in framing your opinions firmly and annoucing them.
Actually it's the instability that retards further cooperation. On one hand Musharraf can't lock hands with America without being condemned and targeted by Pakistani opposition and on the other the U.S. simply can't fully trust certain apparatuses within the Pakistan government as their loyalty, at best, is questionable.
some people attacked the liaquat national hospital building.Sunni tehrik cheif iftikhar bhatti and other leaders were brought at LNH.The sunni tehrik spokeman denied that it was not their workers who attack the hospital.
Get your information right. Barelvis have been tolerant all along. Eversince the migration of Deo-bandis to Pakistan they have been dragged into factional fights. Barelvis have been peacefully co-existing with Shias as well prior to that.
yeah right, there is a difference between the two. Who knows if Ambulances were attacked or stopped. You and I were not on the scene. Let me clarify that hospitals have not been attacked but there has been unusual rush which caused inconvenience to doctors and patients. I think that relatives/friends of those who were hospitalised wont vandalise, would they?
It may just be a a limited number of trouble-makers in all these respective groups. What needs to happen is a pro-active approach to calm people down, spread tolerance for variance in views and make sure that those who resort to violence are punished to the fullest extent of the law. Problem with trying to spread tolerance is that some people think that if they are tolerant of different views, they are being bad muslims. While that doesn't necessarily make them violent by default, this is really the first step on that path.
It’s better if you start to gather your facts too…
Never have Deobandis or Barelvis, ever even raised their voices to each other…
Barelvi vs. Deobandi strife has never occured in history and it is also inconceivable that it should start now…
May Allah :swt: punish the perpetrators, but to even think that a certain group or groups would resort to violence over Milad is not only ignorance of a high calibre but Jahalat as well…
There is a difference between ignorance and Jahalat…
Ignorance is normally associated with lack of understanding, lack of knowledge or wrong information…
Jahalt is knowing the truth and still insisting upon remaining ignorant…
Very well said Faisal. Here your societal values come to play their role. With families struggling to survive on day to day basis and other Institutes aiding the Institute of family to educate its members falling apart, we have a long way to have these inbuilt mechanisms at work.
