KARACHI, Pakistan - A bomb exploded during evening prayers at a park in this southern Pakistani city on Tuesday, killing at least 32 people and wounding dozens of others, witnesses and a doctor said.
The bomb went off near a stage as hundreds of people conducted a prayer service after celebrating the anniversary of the birth of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, said witness Mohammed Asif.
Semi Jamali, a doctor at a hospital, said at least 24 people killed in the blast were brought to his facility, and that dozens of others were being treated for injuries.
The bodies of eight others killed in the attack were taken to another hospital, Jamali said.

da thought of calling up to check on them freaks me out… and as i watch da chaos going on today in karachi on cnn/bbc, i’m so afraid i might see my bro’s face or my nephews face in there:teary1:

I wonder what is the reasoning behind this bomb blast? I think this is a first in a public meelad-un-nabi celebration. Usually it is mosques and shopping centers which are targeted.

To those who are wondering who may have attacked and killed these muslims who were celebrating the birthday of the Prophet (Peace be upon him). There are four possibilities: (a) It is a saihuni saazish and the attack is perpetrated by jews. (b) The government killing its own people to create anarchy and strengthen their own *kursi. *(c) Its a random terrorist group which kills people just for the heck of it (d) Its a group within muslims who vociferously oppose anyone who celebrates the birth of the Prophet, as this group considers it prohibited and will go to any extremes to forcefeed their views on others.
Lajawab, what will it take for you to understand that the version of Islam that you adhere to and preach, and the intolerence espoused by this group is inherently violent and has its roots in the blood of countless muslims.

millions killed by USA through out the world : confirmed
thousands killed by al-qaeeda through out the world : confirmed? all that we hear comes from the mouths of those (cia, fbi) who created these monsters. they were given a doctorine/ideology to follow and they did a marvellous job in butchering russains. now very same monsters are killing others and again are doing wht USA whole heartly wants. al-qaeeda’s existance is very important for USA’s war on terror or islam (doesn’t matter to me). i stopped worrying abt such killings in muslim world long ago. its every day business for avg-job in these countries. me and my family are safely living in the goad of the west (like many other millions of muslim families). we have nothing to do with these low-lives in pak / middle east / asia. they deserve everything that comes their way. sactarian violence / terrorism / revenge killings / honor killings etc all are for them. so enjoy it while they can. i’d sit in the comfort of my room and enjoy their suffering. :k:

those might be possibilities Faisal bhai but I just find them hard to believe as there has been no "history" of such violence that I can recall in my short term memory.
Seems like someone is trying to open a whole new can of worms when we have enough cans to deal w/ already.

The day I read that a person like Jesus whose miracles were witnessed by thousands, whose sermons were listened by thousands and those same thousands can be made to hate him on the mere suggestion of a few rabbis, it makes me think how weak the human mind is…
The American media trained us to think about ‘radical Islam’ and ‘extremist Muslims’ as vicious killers and we believed it…I don’t underestimate the power of suggestion, especially on gullible minds…
I have always followed my own line of thinking…I can never be convinced that when thousands and millions die, it is a sign of liberation…I can not be trained to think that the Taliban who opened schools, hospitals, brought peace to an entire nation (as proven by people who lived there) can be boodthirsty killers as propagandized…
And many other examples, but I cannot be trained easily…It takes more than some images, popular opinion or subliminal propaganda to convince me that there is such a thing as ‘radical Islam’ or ‘Islamic extremists’. whoever they may be…
I just can’t seem to get it through my thick head that 150 kids snuffed out by a bunker buster is an acceptable act but beheading someone is a heinous crime…

It was popular opinion that had Jesus crucified and that too after the same people witnessed with their own eyes the miracles and heard with their own ears the lectures he taught…Why do you think Allah :swt: lifted His blessings from them?
I am not gonna blame anyone for anything based on popular opinion, but that’s just me…
