thats a first one. Before Pakistan there were no Deobandis in Pakistan? Even all sects co-existed for very long time. I have used militants of Brelvi party, I have also heard news of them taking over masajid using weapons… lets trash those “news” items too, shall we?

I would like you to study what happened in Jhang after the partition. Although Deo-bandis never fought with Barlevis there but to get to power they did use these erstwhile peaceful community fight their proxy war with Shias. If you have not read about it, please do.

Are you rating every member of all groups to be of same nature, content and influence? I was talking about immigrant Deo-bandis who exploited to fill in the gaps to their advantage wherever possible. Let me clarify that I am referring to those groups who used ethnicity, religion or whatever at hand to gain one thing or other. To me, these were not Ulemas of any sect but some worldy wrong-doers working on their personal agenda.

I think shia politicians in jhang are rich and have a fuedal background faisal saleh hayat and abida hussain both belong tojhang and are related.
Tahir ul qadri i think so lost from jhang and won the seat from lahore and that too he resigned
azam tariq used to get the other seat as independent
But mainly shias dominate jhang politics

Prior to Shia-Sunni schism, politics in Jhang was monopolised by Shias. All seats were shared between the two families. Immigrant Deo-bandis (I even doubt they were Deo-bandis in real) who were Traders basically fanned the fires of Shia-Sunni schisms and disturbed the political settings in order to get in themeselves too.

Friends, its all politics and economic gains which are behind the divisions amongst us. No one who fears God would attempt to harm a Muslim in any way.

How do you know its immigrant deobandis only? May be you are talking about your mohallah/district only. Lets go to Pakistan affairs instead of going into further discussions here.... please feel free to open a thread about how Deobandi Immigrants post-Pakistan destroyed the peaceful coexistence of Shia and Brelvies in Pakistan.

Besides the usual suspects, shia and sunni, it can also be RAW trying to stir up sectarian violence. or BLA who got their asses kicked in Baluchistan or the tribal warlords from Waziristan. Did someone already mention CIA and Mossad?

Just wanna share first hand Experience Being in Karachi,
My Office is 10 Mins Away from Nashtar Park, i am here from last few months, have invested alot of money,time,energy and efforts.One Bomb Blast has taken everything away. officially, city is being shut down for 3 days, from last 6 hours i have been on phone with my employees stuck at work, people who wanted to come to work and cant get out of their homes due to Riots. Just cant see my Company go down like that...it SUX
On other hand, I know i am not the Only one, this city has 16 million people...proly all going through same situation...

With all due respect/disrespect to all the auto-created sects of Sunnis and Shias. Among them, the most tolerant sect have been Barelviz. It was not until Dawat-e-Islami emerged and hijacked Barelvi main-stream. Sunni Tehrik was its B team and did all the qabzabaazi of masajid from devbandiz and ahle-hadith. Dawat-e-Islami has ruined the face of very peaceful and tolerant group of our society. Thank god 95% of Barelviz don't follow DI. Devbandiz were always peaceful themselves until young blood trained in Tableeghi Jamaat got a chance to join different jehadi movements involved in Afghanistan and Kashmir. On their returned from Jehad, Karachi and somewhat Punjab suffered from secetarian voilence in last one decade.
May we all live in peace. They should un-arm ST, SSP and JM completely. And as Faisal said, spread and teach peace and harmony among young followers. MMA did bring some tolerance in this regard.

^^ please dont bring religion into this, i dont know how many of you in karachi, but i am in Karachi, This city of Lights was in lights till last night, . NO MUSLIM CAN BLOW HIMSELF up ON EID-MILAD un NABI. We have lost over 60 Muslims while offering Maghrib Prayers. A Muslim cant KILL another muslim like this. as per religion, scholars from all faiths were their,most of them are dead now.
I am sure people are old enough to understand, who it could be!!!

I too think that it can't be a Muslim and it could be one of those Faisal mentioned in his first post. But let not forget that lately there have been some black sheeps among us who shed a lot of blood in 90s in the name of sects.

Yeah we can say that those who did this act of terrorism were not following islam but they can be muslims
Suni tehrik also had some clashes with Mqm before the local bodies elections.Maybe they wil blame MQM(the major coalition party of sindh government) for not providing them security.
