First of all, I hope that these attacks and PA operations do not continue during Ramadan.
Secondly, this post is the most realistic one of all. To all those calling for force, go ahead, what is stopping the PA? :)
As for the talk about Baluchistan, ZAB's mission was hardly a success. It drove Baluchi tribes towards a low intensity guerrilla warfare - which has not subsided to this day. Of all the provinces/ethnicites, the Baluch have the greatest dissatisfaction with the state. Go ahead and try the American "force" approach and then cry about the results.
one more point to add with.. Did anyone inetrview or talk to a PA guy who took part in that operation? I did talk to few and nobody was enthusiastic abt it.. instead they had pretty tough time and PA got help from Shah of iran as well as US..
Hoestly... If Pak army is so cowardly that they cant even go into the tribal areas and kill these people, then they deserve this... Any army or govt thats afraid to fight someone thats openbly targeting them deserves this, im sorry to say.
Enough is enough, Pakistan will have to brace itself but this is a fight that has to be fought. Apologists and apeasers need to realize that these people cant be negotiated with and that there has to be a strong show of force. If we have to lose men then so be it, but the terrorist scum must be dealt with.

No one is talking about handing over anything. What is the core reason why the extremists have stepped up attacks against Pakistani people/military? Pakistan's alliance with the US on this war on terror. Before 2001, suicide bombings were never as common as you see them in the news these days. Islamabad was never under this threat.
US WILL vacate Afghanistan and it WILL turn its back on Pakistan. What will be left is an isolated Pakistan that cannot even think of allying with its religious guerrilla forces that had served as the cannon fodder of the many grand schemes of the GHQ.
Go ahead and use force and the blowback will be worse than the US has faced. The only difference will be the ability to return. America can pull its forces out of the Mideast, will Pakistan cede FATA, NWFP + Baluchistan? Absolutely brilliant.
You forget that these people are also bombing shoping centers, destroying historical sites, and spreading terror though out the country...
These people arent spreading their taliban tentacles because of the war on terror, but simply because they are Islamic bigots who have no respect for human life or liberty...
If there were no war on terror, these scum would still spreading their filth throughout the country and terrorising innocent people.
You might be happy to see music stores blown up, shopping centers blown up, our historical relics destroyed, people being beheaded for nothing, but dont expect the rest of the country to accept this religous terrorism...

This has become the fight for Pakistan's survival.
We have a 600,000 Man Army along with 550,000 Reserves plus 3,000 Tanks.
We need to unleash these forces on NWFP.
These barbarians have to realize that they cannot live in Pakistan and create their mini-country to harbor terrorists and send suicide bombers into Pakistani ciites killing innocents.

cut off from their supply lines, no reinforcements, surrounded on all sides by enemies
same thing happened to the British in Singapore in 1942, the Australians in Tobruk in 1942, the Germans in Stalingrad in 1943, the Americans in Bataan in 1942, etc...

You need to go re read your history, assuming that is you have read it in the past...
Pakistan was actually fighting rebels, plus the Indian Army.
But if your satisifed with having suicide bombers threatening you, then in happy for you... But if you are serious and practical, then you have to agree that these scum must be killed.

Absolutely. Any patriotic Pakistani should feel that way. E.Pakistan was POLITICAL failure before it was military one. Same applies to Baluchistan.
So many so-called 'pakistanis' have no problem calling Pakhtuns names, while they cry about how Muslims are bering treated unfairly in the world. No hypocrisy there right?
Mind you, for the Americans, an iraqi or afghani dead = one less camel jockey to deal with. If you want PA do the same thing when it comes to Baluchis/Pakhtuns, then lets just end the federation right now.

This is a result of A-Q driven polorization. The 'jihadi' movements were actually more prominent in the West, particularly places like Londonistan. In Pakistan, jihadis were used as cannon fodder to achieve the aims of the Pakistani governments (both military and democratic) in places like Afghanistan and Kashmir. They did more to secure Pakistani objectives than the so-called armchair political analysts here. Think Hizbullah to Iran.
Blowback is brutal, but expected when you turn your backs against the forces that you once guided, but to deny that Pakistan did anything less than use them for nationalist purposes, is incorrect.

No man, Pakistani masses are all talk, they are stuck in selfishness and apathy...if its not directly a problem for them, then they dont care.
That PLUS more. It is significantly worse than that. See even in this thread most are blaming only musharaf and mullahs...what about the people who are supporting and financing the mullahs? So the jihadis get funds and inspiration from mullahs. Who do the mullahs raise that money from?
From ordinary people who think they are religious and that giving money, shelter or other donations to so call islamic causes and orgs are partly knowingly and unknowingly are the root cause.
The islamic religion in which name pakistan was created is the same in which it is being destroyed also.

Yes nobody is supporting Pak Army in Pakistan… when our army is killing our own people than surely we can’t mourn on the death of army personal.. The army which has never defended its people rather which has always killed its own people… If a watch Dog start killing the children of its own owner (landlord) then you i think know wot people do with it…
And this hatred is only going to increase until or unless the top crop of army take a sensible step… and go back to doing its job instead of dictating things..

if it turns out that the blast was indeed the work of an army insider then it'd be a telltale sign armed forces specially army is heading towards anarchy, division & a severe break down of discipline.
It is bound to happen, if not today then tomorrow. For how long can army kill/attack its own people esp when they see something “fishy” (political) in the process.
