what blushers suit desi girls/women ??? or does it depend on ur skin shade ?

Zayma , I can share my experience with you .. my sister is fair with whitish undertone … hence both browns and pinks/peaches really suit her ..

however I have fair complextion with strong yellowish undertones and I used to wear brownish /natural shade blushes and somehow always got told that i am looking dull !
so recently I started using rosy pink shades and am getting some positive comments from friends and family :cb:

I guess it really depends what skin undertone you got , coz a friend of mine has quite similar complexion to me but has strong pinkish undertone and when she wears brown , it looks awesome on her …

nice thread bcoz i too want to know about blushes which suits desi tone and i m fair with pink undertone so brownish didnt work for me as well...:( and what brand is best for blushes???

Desi, these days i am researching on blushes !

I found NARS blushes to be freaking good ones , but they are also very expensive

so now I am after Bourjois , theirs is also very classy ...

and I think Maybelline have a good one as well ...

desi skin means medum with yellow undertones mostly. so peachy and rosey colours suit the best. stay away from browns cuz blushers r supposed to give u a blushed look not dull and “marial” look:cb: and brwons r the ones to give u that zombie look and no1 has brown cheeks anyways.

pinks suit sum ppl if they have a little pink undertones.

@chicken biryani thanks for ur guidance ...and obout NARS its freaking expensive so want some alternate...never heard about Bourjois blushes will try...:)

@kali bili desi skin does't means all time yellow undertone....and mostly desi girls have uneven skin tones so u have to go for other option bcoz of light reflections ....:) yeah i know no 1 have brown cheek thats y this thing called "make up" exist...:) khair its my opinion not fact...:) btw gina from NARS is one of the best brown which suits mostly desi tone...:)

Desi babe , as misty ( another guppan ) explained a trick , she actually mixes vanilla pigment from MAC into her foundation

you can try any shimmery ofwhite /vanilla pigment and mix it in your moisturizer or foundation and that should do the magic...

@chicken biryani ....yeah i heard about that trick and as highlighter my fav is Benefit "moonlight" love that thing but again expensive so i used vanilla from MAC mix with my moisturizer....:) any suggestion about bourjois blush colour ????

i have bought Rose Dor shade
its rosy pink and has a nice shimmer to it

I actually bought it as an alternative to NARS orgasm shade ... and now comparing the two i kind of like Rose Dor the more .. coz its a much more lively shade and gives the face that brightness and nice glow ...

desi babe: i knw not every1 has yellow tones but "most" have thats wat i said. and yellow is universal undertone every1 has yellow undertones might not be visible in most ppl but we all have yellow in our skin.

btw if u wanna knw wat colour suits u best jst pinch ur cheeks and watever the colour u see after pinching u rcheeks is the colour that suits u best. same is the case with lispticks purse ur lips together for 10 seconds and watever colour u see is the most natural and flaterring colour for ur lipstick.

desi , how do you find vanilla pigment mixed with moisturizer ? does it give the skin that nice shimmery /dewy look?

desi skin usually has golden or yellow undertones...as CB already pointed out, shades of bronze and peach play up your skin tone and look most natural...
on the pink side of things, mauve-tinged blushes can look very pretty too. i find most pink blushed tend to make me look tired.

yeah me also love that orgasm shade from NARS but not kind ov my shade...but will try that one from bourjois ...:)

yeah it does just apply ur moisturizer and if u want more shimmery then apply directly shadow with ur eye blending brush and if not then just take lil amount ov moisturizer and add shadow in it and apply it with blusher brush ...:) hope it works for u

If u're dusky then bronze and bricks look nice.. if u're wheatish u can carry slightly plummy colors and deeper pinks.

i am with u on nars being way toooo expensive i liked their orgasm one and i really wana buy it but i dont know if it will suit me or not and dont wana spend that much money i think its like 18 quid or something on something which wont suit me
but there r qauilty brand :)

Umm right so there is a really easy way to get to know your skin tone … you just gotta stand upside down on your head for at least 5 hours , next to the wall …

and when you stand up back again , you will see a very nice flush on your skin … thats your undertone ..

:eek: you believed me ? haha , i was just pulling your leg! … I dont knw how exactly to establish the undertone , I now mine coz its got goldenish yello written all over it ! when i look at my hands in the sunlight , i can see that i am yellow more then fair :eek:

and I have noticed I get a very natural , beautiful blush when i eat beetroot for three months , every single day … its tastes crap but brings a beautiful color to my skin … you can try it too… :blush:
