Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
where u get that from?
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
^^ that reminds me of this quote from gilmore girls...when lane's mother was gi ving her sex advice right before her wedding. it went something along the lines of " if you're lucky, you'll have to do it only once"
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
we're talking about contraception for gods sake.....nothing wrong with it. every health professional has to study it....nothing to do with being sex starved
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms…
I said that cuz someone told me sometimes back- I don’t remember when and where. If you really find the reasoning intriguing, browse through the attached link to view some answers:

I don’t want to present my own views since going by the past, it make you very angry for no apparent reason and you will be cursing me left and right. I guess you dont like fobs at all and u know well I am one.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
I hope a lot of you ladies are married or are in the medical professional; otherwise the information all you possess (on this subject) is disturbing.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
inshallah, we can trust our sisters here..
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
but its good to know all this..
I have no clue about pregnancy/periods and what not..
thanks all for these lessons.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
I wouldn't want my partner to take pills. I would rather withdraw and take my chances or use a condom.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms…
Why can’t one be educated about these things, so as to be prepared for the future?
Most of the information given here is pretty basic health class stuff.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
havent u heard of sex education? there is nothing wrong with educating yourself before taking the plunge.
in fact....its quite disturbing that men dont know anything about it....which is precisely why us woman have to educate ourselves on this matter....after all it's our body and WE have to carry the child for 9 months.......subhanAllah.
there is nothing wrong with educating ourselves in regards to family planning.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
seeee.....now here is a brother that doesnt think so low of us sisters. :)
you should always assume the best of your sisters not the worst.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms…
have to agree with u :o …didn,t knew that a lot of girls esp pakistanis r that much intrested in all this …heck as a boy my knowledge about sex is very limited to having kids or just making love with eachother or like condoms r better to use insted of pills cuz they don,t hurt the health of a female but after reading this its really too complicated i have to say:o …and btw thanks ppl i really needed these classes…now i know a lot more then i ever could have known about this stuff:halo: …
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
It's called being educated about things, you don't have to be married or a doctor to know about it. In fact most of this stuff is taught in high school health/science class. There's nothing "disturbing" about having knowledge on birth control and its side effects and what works and doesn't work. If you've read most of the responses here, most men have no freakin clue about anything, other than condoms will reduce their pleasure, and pills will make her "fat." Both partners can discuss it but the ultimate choice should be left upto her since she's hte one who will be going through the side effects of any drugs or even pregnancy.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
Anil Khan and Hussain87,
Talk to any medical professional and you will learn that birth control pills can be used to help other irregularities, primarily related to a woman's ovaries and menstruation problems. It would be wrong to assume that if a girl knows all the ins and outs of birth control pills, it has to do with sex.
Anyway, like others have said, there is no harm in educating yourselves or being educated in health class so you are prepared for the future and the serious consquences/side effects of various birth control methods.
Ultimately, it is your (a females) body. You (women) should know exactly what they are doing to it by taking these measures.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
Ladies if you don't want an unplanned pregnancy ,you should go on pills coz believe me condoms are not reliable. In a one year period of married life you will have several malfunctions of condoms and a constant concerne of what if....
As far as side effects of pills goes ,every medication has its side effects even common pain killers like tylenol and advil, and who says there is no side effects of condoms beside being not very reliable the latex and other material used can cause a severe skin conditon so as the lubricant used in em.
Also an interesting point that I noticed that ladies are concerne that pill make people gain weight .Yes it is metioned in as a side effect but not all actually do and tell me why most of pakistani khawateen gain weight ?? Most of them dont use any contraceptive pills . Gaining weight is more related to being a lazy ass and your diet than with pill.
And now a note for our little miss muffet Impulse. When you say personally and he wont let me in same sentense not only its an error of speech it is much more than that.
Any way my point is iam happy that you have found your HE and you are completely in love with him and so is he but it doesn't mean that thoes of us who take pill and make own decisions in general and take responsibility doesn't have same as yours or may be even more of a love relation in our lives ,where we are very much loved and cared for but life isn't a fairy tale and we have to make practical dicision every so often. So don't make it a issue for what it is not.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
Education on such topics sounds a bit premature when considering that some of the girls are years away from actually using this information. Aside from the basics, such in-depth knowledge about birth control is useless if one is not in a practicing state.
Just my opinion.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
I have to disagree with you Anil. It's shameful when girls and women don't even know how their bodies work.
Let me give you an example. Should girls be told about puberty after they go through it and be traumatized by the unexpected, or should they be told before hand, gently preparing them for a few years before it happens? I go for the latter. It's the option that makes the most sense. It reminds me of a story I once heard from my aunt. She had gone to a village once and there was a girl who started menstruating for the first time. That child was freaking out because she had no idea this was a normal thing since no one had educated her about it. For days, she was inconsolable and frightened.
Same with information about sex and birth control. It is far better when women and men know how this all works so they can make educated choices about their intimate life and family planning. I also think that women who are well educated about sex also have healthier attitudes towards about the physical aspect of their relationships with their husbands. You don't want a wife who is in total fear or is frigid because of a simple lack of knowledge. And the knowledge should be acquired beforehand, not on the wedding night itself.
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms...
I wont take pills because of the harms and I think me being a pharmacist....I would probably have a little more knowledge than you do about them.
if you take pills, thats your choice....but dont pretend the side effects are not there....they may even show up later on in life. now us Pakistanis tend to have higher risk of heart disease anyway....I dont think we need extra things like the pills making it worse....as one of the side effects is thrombosis/blood clotting and high BP and theres many more.
now if a guy truly cares about his wife....i dont think hed want to risk her health by making her take the pill....
Re: Birth Control Pills and Condoms…
wow..:halo:
