Re: Big Brothers Problem

Quite a sad thread indeed

shows very disturbing pictures

here we guys are not allowed to disobey big brothers or sisters. Calling them names is un-imaginable. Some of the stories where girls calling their siblings with names is really pathetic.

Shows the preveling level of love and respect among siblings in children growning in western countries

Re: Big Brothers Problem

You have a caring brother who doesn't even want evil eyes to fall upon his sister...You should consider this a blessing instead of listening to the gora wannabes in this thread...

It is brothers like these who will be there for you at every turn in your life and will answer immediately your call for help...Who needs apathetic family members? This is nothing more than his love for you...

I understand, living in the west and then being treated like this by your brother may seem claustrophobic...But remember, there are those people in the west who are rude to their parents, don't care about their siblings and are a shame for their families...

Be glad you are not part of such a family...If you listen to the advices of the gora asses in here, you will never realize that your brother is there for you...

However, FF's advice is correct too...He should take his friends to his room if he is so concerned about them seeing you in the house or something and not restrict your movements because of them...It's your house as much as his...Tell him to take his friends out of sight instead of keeping you out of sight...

Re: Big Brothers Problem

I guess its UK guy thing.

My youngest brother, the one who has had the most turbulent past and the one who has crossed a LOT of limits in our family - is the most over protective.

He's 19, and he will ask me as a 25 year old married girl

'Why i'm going to the park at the time i'm going' OR
'Why would i want to meet my cousin in jail? -' He's concerned at the security procedures and dogs sniffing you etc. OR
'Why has the nephew been playing further than our block of houses'

People who have seen too much in their lives, who have seen the worst, and possibly embroiled in it can see more danger than those who have cocooned and led sheltered existences.

I think thats why my brother is so over protective but I LOVE IT :)

I think its sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute. I guess more so because he has had a gang past and for him to start assuming some level of responsibility is a breather.

However, not that i listen to him anyway :D

For you my dearest. I guess it can be suffocating living in an existence like that and it reminds me of other instances where i've witnessed it. If he is trying to protect you, then he shouldn't expose you to it in the first place? Like stop bringing these guys home full stop.

Plus you say his friends are pendu - he may be acting the way he is, because thats the way they think. They dont want to be bumping into his sister - and the whole respect and blah thing comes into place.
