But KKF Urdu contains Hindi words. I can't remember alternate word for hunger in Urdu except 'Bhook'. Any Hints?

that's the reason why i mentioned that BHOOK is a Hindi word and i'm looking for a word of Farsii/Arabic origin. :)

In hindi Khaa is used instead of Kaa, it is written as Bhookh.

yeh 'arabii kaa lafz to ho saktaa hai jiskaa mujhe 'ilm nahiiN magar yeh lafz Urduy zabana meN muravvij nahiiN hai…so, vo lafz koii aur hai!

Yes Arabic word for bhook is ‘jow’ah’. I think its also used in Surah e Quresh.

BHOOK is one of a very few words that does NOT have many alternate Farsii/Arabii words. actually, i've come across ONLY 1 such word. that's what i'm looking for so others might know as well. :)
