Did you get my PM? You will have to do some leg work (meaning - at least meet them once and look for the criteria's I pointed out in PM)
Re: Best photographer / videographer in GTA (Toronto / Mississauga / Oakville area)
i think there already is a thread on this..search it.
Re: Best photographer / videographer in GTA (Toronto / Mississauga / Oakville area)
There is already a thread discussing photographers/videographers in the GTA- http://www.paklinks.com/gs/wedding/289326-best-wedding-photographer-videography-in-toronto-markham-missiauga-brampton-etc.html
Please do a search before creating new threads.
To answer your question, I had Bf/Gf for my wedding and mehendi and could not recommend them more! They were fantastic, and Vanessa and Jess are both great people too. They shot two of my friend’s weddings too and did an excellent job there too. I wouldn’t even look at anyone else, to be honest- I’d just book them and call it a day! However, they are currently $3500+ which is above your budget but to that I say they’re worth every.single.penny. I’d splurge!
We didn’t bother with a videographer either because we knew Jess and Vanessa were going to take awesome pics and I don’t regret that decision at all.

Whomever you hire, make sure you get two photographers. That really is the standard these days- perspective that two provide over one is always preferable.

Re: Best Wedding Photographer/Videography in Toronto, Markham, MIssiauga, Brampton, e
ok, Im trying to start a new topic, but for some reason its not working. So I thought this was the best place to ask this question.
Im getting married in March 2011. I want to do my photo session outdoors. But I want to know, what do people think is the best place to do an outdoor photo session? I dont like parks too much, so someplace like the Distillery District (this is my first option), but I want other options as well.
Thanks!
march 2011 is still winter, so you wouldn't be able to do a park shoot anyway, i don't think, depending on how cold/snowy/slushy it is. the Distillery might work - they have lots of lovely indoor areas for shooting- but the outdoors again depends on the weather. hrm... how about downtown, around bay/king, or along spadina? or ooh, the king eddy is gorgeous for photographs, but you could also pop into the royal york for shots. i can't think of any outdoor places in march.... who's your photographer? i'm sure they'll have suggestions for you too.
Re: Best Wedding Photographer/Videography in Toronto, Markham, MIssiauga, Brampton, e
SGC is right, your photographer will give you several suggestions!
You could also try the Mainstreet Unionville area. You could try doing a photoshoot in one of those parking lot fairs / circus etc...I think those are quite nice :)
Niagara falls Clifton Hill is nice as well, although it might be far
Re: Best Wedding Photographer/Videography in Toronto, Markham, MIssiauga, Brampton, e
yah, I realize that praying for good weather probably wont work (and hoping for the March we had this year probably wont work either). So I have decided to go with an indoor shoot. I contacted my photographer, but they just gave me the same ideas that I listed to them (Union Station, Royal york).
Do you guys have any other ideas for an in-door photoshoot?
My fiance works in Boston, and he said someone there had their wedding shoot at the Boston Library, but Boston is an old town and their library is so beautiful architecturally [is that even a word?] speaking. I tried to look up libraries here in Toronto, but they are pretty dull, so that idea is out the window. We are looking for something unique, we dont want it to be cookie cutter.
I actually live in Unionville, and I love Main Street - but again most of it is outdoors. And a fair or circus probably wouldnt be going on in March, but that is such a good idea!
Re: Best Wedding Photographer/Videography in Toronto, Markham, MIssiauga, Brampton, e
Hey Saima try looking into an art gallery or maybe even an exhibit you both like at a museum.
Library is def awesome (reminds me of Carrie’s wedding from SATC)! What about UFT downtown, I would imagine they would have a nice library building:)
Castle Loma is another nice option http://www.casaloma.org/Catering/LocPhotoShoot/
Re: Best Wedding Photographer/Videography in Toronto, Markham, MIssiauga, Brampton, e
Saima, I would agree with sighs - Casa Loma might be a good option but I think they would charge you for the shoot. Also, maybe Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) might be good?

OMG, thank you all for all these ideas. Im going to look into each one.
I contacted the ROM a few days ago, they dont allow photography. But I am going to look into the other ideas! Thank you so much!
Re: Best Wedding Photographer/Videography in Toronto, Markham, MIssiauga, Brampton, e
And Casa Loma only has certain hours they allow photography - 8:30 - 10:00 am and then 12:30 - 2:30 - and they charge about $450 (for anyone who was thinking about it)
Re: Best Wedding Photographer/Videography in Toronto, Markham, MIssiauga, Brampton, e
^ Good to know! Thanks!
Honestly, any place can look beautiful if you have talented photographers. I’ve even seen pictures shot in parking lots look gorgeous! Also, there’s lots of graffiti’d walls around Queen West… those can make some beautiful backgrounds too.

Re: Best Wedding Photographer/Videography in Toronto, Markham, MIssiauga, Brampton, e
^ I abosultely LOVE LOVE LOVE Distillery District. Its so gorgeous ... and u can get great shots in the dark corners too.
Re: Best Wedding Photographer/Videography in Toronto, Markham, MIssiauga, Brampton, e
yah, Im totally into the urban look for pics. I love the pics you posted! I was also thinking about just finding some random places downtown (the graffiti walls sound really good!) to take pics...i dont want too formal of a setting for the pics, cause the rest of the pictures from the reception are going to be quite posed.
My nikkah is at the masjid, but the masjid sits on farm land, so in the back of the large lot, there are some run down barns still, and I wanted to do my nikkah photography there. I thought that would look super amazing!
Re: Best Wedding Photographer/Videography in Toronto, Markham, MIssiauga, Brampton, e
