You already made it seem like it’s impossible for you to like her in a romantic way. You also mentioned that she’s older. This would mean that you are rejecting the possibility of liking her in a romantic way. And rejection hurts. If you continue to be close to her because you’re “stuck to her,” you would be leading her on. Like I’ve said, go talk to her in person. Also, don’t be too attached to someone, let them breathe.
