Baseball 2007

Re: Baseball 2007

Funny thing is that many consider NL West to be the crappiest, and now we have two NL West teams competing in the NLCS. And both these teams were the pits last year. I agree that BoSox must be the favorites, but these NL teams (and even Indians) are riding high... Both the CS as well as World Series should be interesting.

Re: Baseball 2007

The thing is...that NL West is crap. Over the course of a season, if Arizona and Colorado played in the AL East, they would get their brains beaten in and most definitely miss the playoffs in the process. But the good thing about the playoffs, especially in baseball, is that once you make it to October baseball, you have as good a chance of winning it all as the next team.

Re: Baseball 2007

So disappointed with Yankees. 3rd year they leave postseason in first round. Torres is gone.

A-Rod, I think, has realised they'll never really accept him in NY. There are about 5 teams with the money to attract him, Red Sox the most probable I guess.

Re: Baseball 2007

If Torre is not returning next year chances are Rivera and Posada may not return too.

Re: Baseball 2007

I'm quite certain George and Brian Cashman will have no problem with letting go Rivera. Joba Chamberlain anyone? Torre, I believe, is gone for sure and rightly so. With that payroll, you better be wining a WS every other year or something.

Re: Baseball 2007

Red Sox lost to Indians 13-6. Series tied is 1-1.

Re: Baseball 2007

Rocktober!

Re: Baseball 2007

Indians lead series 2-1

Re: Baseball 2007

Seems like BoSox are chocking.... Rockies vs Indians now??

Re: Baseball 2007

i don't really have a preference...but i think i'm gonna root for Colorado...

Re: Baseball 2007

The Yanks will have a problem with letting Rivera go because they want Joba starting.

Regardless of Torre's terrible managing of the bullpen and his in game decisions, he deserves to be their manager for next year. 12 straight years in the post season on his resume. Who are you going to replace him with?

I see Rivera and Posada testing the market and eventually resigning with the Yankees who will counter any offer given to the two players.

Cashman has said he won't sign AROD if he opts out. I still don't believe it but I can imagine AROD in another uniform next year. Good for him. The Yankees organization and their fans don't deserve a player like him. With all the crap from the media, Torre batting him 8th in the post season, fans booing him in his mvp year. He doesn't belong in that classless organization.

Re: Baseball 2007

Sox aren't choking. They are simply getting smacked around by a superior team.

Re: Baseball 2007

Torre out after 12 years as Yankees manager

Re: Baseball 2007

its not over yet?

Re: Baseball 2007

Bring it on baby ... Rockies all the way!

Re: Baseball 2007

BoSox did it again... won three in a row to make it to WS... Good for them. Indians chocked and failed to be the team that beat both Yankees and BoSox in a single season play offs.

So, after all the twists and turns, it is

Boston Red Sox **vs **Colorado Rockies

Re: Baseball 2007

BoSox are on a roll. They literally crushed Rockies in the first game... second game tonight again went the way of BoSox by a score of 2-1. Rockies now have their backs to the wall. This seems like another AL smacking NL Series.

Re: Baseball 2007

sox players are annoying. they always show off.
They don't run right away after hitting a home run but stay there for a min to get some applause and admiration... And then decide to circle all the bases. Can't they just complete the run first & then get appreciation.

Re: Baseball 2007

only manny. rest are pretty ok.

Re: Baseball 2007

sweep-o-rama this year eh?
