**reading alone will not make it explain everything. understanding religion is not by just going to the book and reading it. just like any subject, u’ve to spend years to learn that subject. u’ve to learn the religion by learning the language first then in-depth knowledge to understand Qur’aan and aHaadees. u can’t just buy a DR. MOM book and start treating sick people. u need to go to a med school and spend years learning the medical sciences and only then u may treat a patient. wud u go to someone looking for medical advice if he is NOT a medical doctor? i won’t even if he has a double PhD in Physics.

Lets not believe everything the dentist says (like a Zombie). You have a brain. Lets just pick up the books, read it ourself and then decide what to do with our teeth… and so on for our eyes, ears, stomach…etc. A (good) Aalim spends his whole life learning and teaching Quran + Hadith, but for us it doesn’t matter. What a pity.

One shouldn’t believe an Aalim blindly but at least one should consult different Aalims in order to come up to a good decision, while oneself also read Quran and Hadith. To try to correct them/proving them wrong with one’s own study of Quran + Hadith is ridiculous, just like it is in case of dealing with an experienced Doctor, engineer,…etc. They have been thinking over different aspects of it, co-relating it with practical examples and other perspectives, for years.
