I also didn't like Designer,,,really expensive and rude....I went to order some formals but their prices were sky high........I hate their customer service. Probably i will get some made in Lahore. And if i compare prices,, lahore has some decent price range which i can easily manage.......
At my insistence, they finally brought out the "manager" Neeli, who was basically an old aunty who was incredibly rude and pretty much just told us to leave the store! Ugh!

im sorry giggles but this is where your fault comes in! "the designers" have nothing to do with HSY, they r just a store who sells various designer stuff, n if you want to place an order u have to go through the designers staff n then THEY let me reapeat THEY go to the designer! why on earth did u not contact HSY directly its not his fauly yur clothes got messed up its the way that lady the the designers who is a real annoying pain i knw too, snd she convyed the wrong thing to HSY people... so dont go blaming the designer because u never ever had direct contact with them yur contact was through another mediator which was yur fault when u cud have easily called hsy in lahore yurself, which wud have saved u the hassel
on another note HSY has goood service this is the 1st ive heard of him being bad, he made 3 of my clothes wrong size because of my fault n got it fixed in 2 days n shippped it off to karachi frm lahore no extra change n n top of that he added tonnes more kaam as well, n gave an extra free suit as well which was very kind of him.
he isnt the top desiger in Pakistan by some fluke he has a great team of people who r very helpful n this is not just from ym experience its from tonnes of other ppl i knw too...

Sorry to hear abt ur jora :( this is wot my mother warns me abt, u kinda have to be in pakistan to make sure ur joras turn out right keep them on their toes...and in ur case u were and still they messed up (whoever they were)....but darn it i still wana order stuff hahaha that too online..i know risky business.... :D

That's the problem with Pakistani designers, fame gets to their head lol I really pity them at times. My cousin had her shadi outfit made from HSY and trust me it wasn't all that.

poddy, since you seem to buy all your oufits from all the designers in pak, u of all people should know its not giggles fault at all. yeh the people at 'the designers' go to hsy to get the orders made and they tell them exactly what the customer wants. im pretty damn sure neeli or whoever the hell didnt go to hsy's staff and say 'oh please make an awful outfit for this girl' obviously someone f'ed up and it could be hsy's team or 'the designers'
the store sells clothes for various designers and they should be help responsible. its not giggles fault that she decided to go there and not to hsy himself. ur supposed to get the same product at either place since hsy's team is making it regardless of which store u go to. geez!

lol so true. btw i think the title should be changed to "the designers - horrible experience" not really fair to malign HSYs name when this girl never really interated with him or his staff or went to any of his outlets, its a very very misleading title.
an example here, you place an order for a jora from a generic boutique, the oufit comes back totally messed up. who do you blame? the karigar/tailor behind the scene (he is only doing what he is being told to do) or the person responsible for taking and carrying out your order??

Isn't The Designer's one of HSY's outlets/carriers? I thought that since not everyone can go to his studio in Lahore, you can go to TD in Karachi, choose what you want, the workers there will give you a price or call the studio in Lahore for it (mostly in case of bridals), your order is sent off, made IN Lahore, and then sent back to Karachi. Basically, you do your selection, pricing, modifications in Karachi and the actual making of your clothes is done in Lahore.
I don't think HSY is involved in it directly but he is to be blamed for not training or supervising his staff right. What kind of a business is he running, all of this is HIS responsibility. For such a big designer house, how is it possible that noone is there to supervise the orders and take a look before clothes are sent back to the client in Karachi? Why is there noone to look at what the customer wants before they hand off everything to the karigar? And then for TD to make a big drama out of it, that's just pathetic. HSY's team in Lahore sound like a bunch of slackers. If he had the time or willingness to teach his staff some customer service skills, none of this would even occur in the first place.
Definitely not the first 'bad experience with HSY' story I have heard, and I'm sure it isn't the last one either.

'the designers' is not an outlet of hsy or any other designer, its an independently owned and operated boutique which purchases selected outfits from various designers which are then owned by the boutique and sold as is. its all ready to wear stuff, the boutique does minor alterations in sizing only. as far as placing an order goes, last i was there, they were not doing that, it was strictly a pret wear boutique, may have changed now.

^Well, when I called them to order my clothes, I was told that they only place the order and take payments, everything is made and taken care of in Lahore, and this was just a couple of weeks back. Infact when I sent them pictures of the clothes I liked, they forwarded them to the Lahore studio to get quotes for me and said they will get them made.
Doesn't sound like they are still a pret wear boutique.

i ordered few outfits from the designer in karachi 2 years back..they outfit came as i wanted but yea they never give you the outfits on time..one of the outfit i was suppose to wear at my cousin's wedding but i couldnt wear it because they were keep on delaying it..at last i had to get a ready made suit from Jabeens on tariq road

If I give an order to some to place on my behalf and they are making money from this transaction and it comes back messed up, they are responsible. It is up to them to make sure it comes back as I expect. Even if they placed the order correctly and were not at fault, THEY should sort it out with the designer before it gets to me, or at least afterward if I'm not happy. Otherwise, what is the point of being the middleman and therefore charging accordingly??

Thank you sumorani...ur suppose to get the same product regardless of what CONTINENT you are in...if u have given ur requirements and such...u shud get wot u ask for....
Ok take for instance Imani Studio in Manchster, they stock items of various designers such as mariab and HSY. I contacted them a while ago and the man told me most of it is made to order, they take the outfit details any changes u want to make and then pass them onto the designer team in pakistan (ie maria b or HSY) and then u get ur outfit.
Why are we arguing over whoz fault it is? obviously it is 1) the designers fault and 2) INDIRECTLY HSY. someone obviously didnt take giggles seriously and for all we know HSY's team mite not have even received ur outfit details in the first place.
its very sad this has happend giggles...but now u will know not to trust them. and so will everyone else...for those who had AWSOME heavenly experiences with designers...good for u..... :)

I SAW MANY OF OUR FAMOUS DESIGNERS SHOPPING THERE ,,,,EVEN YOU DON'T BELIEVE THEY BUY READYMADE KAAMDAR SUITS IN BULK FROM THERE..and sell them
i don't mean all of there dresses but many of them ...SO FOR CONSCIOUS PPL I MUST SUGGEST THAT THEY CAN BUY THEIR OWN CLOTH, CHOOSE DESIGNS FROM MAGAZINES AND order anywhere...they will b satisfied

bcz designers of pakistan think they r supernatural things and they never see the range middle class(who r the major clients)
i hv been to many countries uk,middle east and i m soooo amazed that those who earn there can easily buy designer wear...but our designers seems to hv no concern with their clients and they just compete in prices with each other which is not a gr8 thing....DISSAPPOINTED BY THEIR APPROACH,PRICES AND BEHAVIOUR..
