baby weight!!people hate!!!

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Um unless you are pregnant woman yourself or capable of becoming pregnant....just...shut up. :)

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Metabolism issue? Really?

6-8 weeks is enough for a woman to get back to normal.

So why do you think somehow after this metabolism issue popped up all of a sudden?

Come on.

Even without pregnancy, this so called metabolism issue is a scapegoat for people (especially for some women) to be fat just because they love to eat whatever they want.

Bring me the scientific/medical reason for your comment and we can discuss further.

Remember: If a woman is slim and not fat before pegnancy, she has no metabolism issue, no matter how much she tries to convince others.

I am deeply sorry to say, but why don't you **shut up **my dear, unless you actually are....or approve... women who blow up like a balloon, after being pregnant and eat like a horse? :)

The point still remains,

Vast majority of people are fat because of what they eat.

Fat People cannot blame metabolism or anything on being fat...unless it is proven scientifcally.

People need to be realistic and not find ANY excuses for their own fault.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

^LMAO....you know Diwana, you've got some real issues. What is it? Arrogance? You're not a woman....you'll never be a pregnant woman...and you're acting like you're the absolute authority on pregnancy.

She should get back to "normal" after 6 to 8 weeks eh? Sure about that? Cuz women who have delivered a baby through C-section......are not even allowed to exercise until 6-8 weeks have passed. Ever consider that? God, how pathetic.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Most likely, a fat man and woman is fat because of bad diet. Regardless of pregnancy, lack of activity/exercise or 'slow metabolism' excuse that person tries to bring.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

  1. You are not a doctor

  2. You are not a woman.

If you are neither of these, then everything you say is irrelevant, so for the last time...just shut up already. Of course we know you won't because you only like to hear yourself talk--even when nobody else agrees with or gives a hoot about what you say. :)

And FYI this thread isn't even about fat people, its about baby weight. But its okay, we know you have reading comprehension issues :)

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

So now you've moved to just "fat women" in general, eh? Don't veer from the subject. The thread is about women who have given birth...and that is what you were discussing wasn't it?

Women have to wait to exercise. And depending upon the method of delivery...as I've mentioned above...that can take 6-8 weeks. So, I've refuted your own personal theory and expectation of a woman going back to her previous weight within 6-8 weeks. Also, it's hard to exercise when you have a baby that demands much of your time and you you're exhausted from lack of sleep and other household responsibilities. The stress itself can produce hormones that lead to weight gain. These are not excuses....these are real challenges that one has to deal with after having a baby. The stretching of skin can also contribute to the "fat" look and it can be hard to completely get rid of that through just diet and exercise. There's much you haven't considered. And that's the problem. With you it's the "my way or the highway attitude"...you cannot consider other possibilities. Y'know what? Some think that you're a troll.......but I doubt that. There's way too much consistency in your posts for you to be a troll. I doubt that you're blind to the fact that there are several people who have issues with you.....and even that can't get you to reflect over your attitude/views.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

RV!

I have no intention to mak you embarrased on this issue, but let me tell you, just because you want to argue with me will not get you anywhere.

Where did you hear women who had C-section are not allowed to be active and whatever you wrote as I bolded?

P.S. Nevermind. ;) ................Just provide a medical reason for your comment so I can discuss further.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

RV said women who have c-sections cannot work out until after 8 weeks have passed. Exactly what PROOF or medical reason do you need for that?

What is wrong with you? Why are you so pathetically obtuse?

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

After mine, the doctor said 8 weeks. After my cousin's, the doctor said 12. 6-8 is pretty standard.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

You're making it sound like I said that women who have had a C-section are not allowed to be active, period. I didn't say that. They are advised by the doctor to wait several weeks before exercising. Believe it or not...that's a common question (how long do i have to weight before I can exercise) pregnant women have. Where did I hear it? I've heard it from friends who have delivered in this way. I've read it as well. You can do your own research.

I'm not trying to go anywhere, Diwana. I'm not challenging your points for the sake of arguing. I have no issues with agreeing with a point a member has made...even if I'm none too fond of them. You seem to think that everyone who has opinions different from you is on a mission to argue with you..and you have to turn it into some competition or something. It's weird. There's nothing for me to feel "embarrassed" about. Carry on. There's no point.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

You have not answered point by point so I will say, thank you for your comment. Bring something on the table which can be considered valuable or even arguable. :)

My dear,

Get my point clear once for all.

Fat gained during pregnancy because of women eating junk food, makhaanay, halway, fatty food and eating whenever they like will not be lost in 6-8 weeks.

Then these women will blame lack of or inability to exercise or all of a sudden development of metabolism issue which was not there before pregnancy!

Allow me to say clearly here:

An overweight or fat woman after pregnancy is fat because of what she over-ate during or after pregnancy, not because of pregnancy or any method of delivery. Period.

Think again when you see a lot of slim women who were pregnant so many times and still no one can say they were pregnant so many times.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Whether you are fat or thin is none of anyone's concern. Tell the next person who says anything to you, "No woman wants to look bad and by making that comment you have made me feel just that. If that isn't offensive I don't know what is". If they still pester you point out a flaw preferably physical in them and while they cringe say exactly that's how I felt too.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

I've said what I needed to say--you choose to ignore it thats your problem. I have better things to do than to argue with a brick wall, which you are.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Just read this post.

I already said that the weight gain during pregnancy is mostly because of water gain, baby weight and uterus being enlarged. Should resolve in 6-8 weeks.

Any extra fat is because of her eating like a horse...makkhan, makhaanay, fatty soup or mythical diet to make her 'bones strong' simply makes her fat!!!

A healthy woman in pregnacy needs good vitamins, sensible balanced diet, iron supplement and that's all.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

No one is saying, blame it on pregnancy, and live like a slob. It took 9 months to get into that shape. Your body should not and will not go back immediately, if ever. People can be supportive without being hurtful.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Nadz, as you can see, people who think this way will continue to, no matter how mch you try to reason with them. It is best to ignore them.

Now I will take my own advice.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Women should not take their being pregnant as license to eat carelessly/recklessly. However, pregnant women are advised by the doctor to gain a certain amount of weight...and they're supposed to increase the number of calories a certain amount (that I can't remember). So the weight gain is also due to food/caloric intake....and is not just limited to the water weight/baby weight/enlarged uterus.

Now you can eat healthy foods...but if you increase the amount and thus increase the calories....you will gain weight. So, you can't depend upon just diet alone...you also have to consider the amount of food you're eating as well as exercise. Pregnant women are supposed to increase their caloric intake....they're supposed to gain a certain amount of weight.....but as the pregnancy progresses, it can become physically difficult to exercise. Lack of activity during the pregnancy will lead to weight gain. But even if a woman did not gain much weight during her pregnancy.....even if she ate fairly healthy.....it's unreasonable to expect her to go back to her pre-pregnancy weight/shape in 6-8 weeks. Even women who have delivered naturally...need to wait a period of time before exercising. Some women might even gain weight after delivery....because they have to eat in order to nurse....and they're not able to exercise that much (or at all) because they're taking care of the baby. So, many factors play into it. The issue can't be simplified to just diet alone.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Not being hurtful at all. Just being realistc and honest.

Do you think I like women to blow up after pregnancy so they feel bad or depressed?

I merely said why women gain extra weight and why they should not blame on being pregnant to be overweight/fat.

Re: baby weight!!people hate!!!

Every woman/every body is different. There are some women who go back to shape quickly after having kids, and are out and about just days later while other women take alot longer to recover.

Some women go through post partum depression and some don't.

I know some who were very careful about eating and dieting and used their pregnancies as a time to finally relax and enjoy themselves and you know what--they got their bodies back, it took a while and they were hardly ever unhealthy but they got their old figures back.

Being "fat" doesn't make one a horrible person or mother.

And, just because Heidi Klum or some actresses/rich women can go back to their prepregnancy figures within 3 weeks doesnt mean that the average woman can, nor should she aspire to that.
