ABAY YAAR i got tickets for this concert and its happening this sunday, and i got VIP tickets for ma mom, sis and aunt and obviously got the back tickets for the us CHILLAR (change) crowd

They may be, I am not sure, but I do know that they are on the US tour and are going to different cities. They were in Chicago before they came here.

He’s my favorite too and he sang pretty well. He seems like a nice guy (may be he is not a professional and popular singer yet, that’s why?) and he was engaging with the audience, talking to them etc. Atif, on the other hand, was pretty stuck up and didn’t talk to the audience. Somebody said something to him, I think about not being able to dance and he said “That’s not my responsibility, that’s the organizer’s responsibility”. I wasn’t a big fan of him to begin with, but yesterday dropped him even more in my eyes.

Shikra, I went to the one in Chicago, apart from Atif, none of the performers showed up! The organizers refused to refund the $125 we had paid for the all 4 acts, as some of us asked him to refund it via email. We told Atif backstage about how we were lured into thinking there would be 3 other performers (amanat, kalash etc) apart from him, he said something about them not getting visas, so I wonder how they showed up at the houston gig!
There was also a visa issue in New Jersey. Not all showed up.
Was there any involvement from Rehan Siddiqui in this concert?

Shikray, shikray ki tarha daikho aur socho. Pakistani melas/concerts are to go to and have unobtrused fun. Somebody wants to buy a VIP ticket... that's not a mistake but a bad mistake. Pakistani melas are known to be disorganized, at best. We go when we have a chance to. Never expect to find our seats available, wait for the lights to go down and start inching forward. Once a tharakta hua gaana starts, younger folks stand up on armrests and let it go.
Last time I was in a concert was many years ago and that was under the tutilage of Rehan Siddiqui. The group was Junoon. kuch maamla kharab hua tha unkey guitar dude say. Qasam say... GS par kahiN postings hoNgi meri, meN to haath dho kar Junoon ki website ko jo paRa to 3 din ta meN akaila aur saari unki website meray khilaf. Aakhir kar unka main singer aaya aur maafi maNgi.
Meri baat alag hai. I was one and was highly offended by something and took action. I was kindly informed by Junoon of Rehan's failure to control the crown in light of dictates from the Dallas Fire Marshal due to which Junoon did something that offended me.
Certain things came up at home which prevented me following up on my plan to standup to Rehan Siddiqui later on.
Now, I am not in Dallas anymore, I've heard that Rehan has been kicked out of Dallas and is back in Houston. He had to run from Houston to Dallas and is back in Houston?
Guy's a smooth-talker. He's a star among female listners.
In anycase, don't compare Pakistani melas to Indian melas. Pakistani melas are 'no-holds barred' melas. The organizers are at fault and if you feel compelled then I suggest you stand up and take some community based action. You can do it. It's how you feel about making yourself heard even if you can't affect future events.
