I think jis trh ki language use ki gaei in 2-3 dino mein, sirf paper pe ye likh dene se ‘agr kisi ko takleef hui tou hum mazrat krte hain’ should not be enough.
Ye tou koi tareeqa na hua k aap logon ko ghaleez galiyan dein aur unko qatal krne k liye kahein, aur end mein agr mgr mazrat!
Properly aur officialy mafi mangni chahye taa k ainda ehtiyat ho sake.
Warna ye sare agreements fuzol hain aur ye dhanda chalta rhega!
Just came to say namaste to @Southie uncle. ![]()
Namaste, muqawwee123!
I agree with everything you stated re people getting provoked and almost attacking others. Question is - were the persons who didn?t take their hats off or didn?t stand for the national anthem sentenced to death under blasphemy laws or their equivalent?
The irony is that several veterans support the rights of people to protest discrimination by taking a knee. While those who get provoked by such peaceful protests are the ones who tend to discriminate. By the same token, a truly spiritual person will not be bothered what someone else says about his god.

Nope i am not equating termination of accounts with terminating a life.. I am just saying that such actions have same theme… “the punishment”… So yaa we all have same laws with different names and punishments…

The different punishments is the key here.
Pti has given into the demands of the Army backed TLP.
Imran’s talk’s brave, but acts like a coward.
Pakistan works to stop Asia Bibi leaving after blasphemy protests
In a document signed by the PTI?s religious affairs minister and the TLP?s second-in-command, Pir Afzal Qadri, the government promised not to oppose a court petition to reverse Bibi?s release. It also pledged to work in the meantime to put her name on the exit control list (ECL) which would prevent her leaving the country.
?Placing Asia Bibi on the ECL is like signing her death warrant,? said Wilson Chowdhry of the British Pakistani Christian Association. Bibi, a mother of five, remains in the same prison where last month two men tried to kill her, although she has been shifted out of her windowless cell.
The agreement was a ?historic capitulation?, tweeted analyst Mosharraf Zaidi. On Wednesday night, the prime minister and leader of the PTI, Imran Khan, defended the verdict acquitting Bibi and suggested the government would clamp down on protesters it termed ?enemies of the state?.
The TLP has agreed to call off its protests, which saw thousands of Islamists blockade the country?s major motorways, burning cars and lorries and chanting that they were ready to die to protect the honour of the prophet.
Meanwhile, the government has promised to free any TLP workers arrested during the three-day protest. The group has only apologised for the damage it caused, the cost of which one government official estimated at $1.2bn (?900m).
Afzal Qadri told the Guardian ?the government has almost accepted our maximum demands? and that if it backtracked ?we can come [out on the streets] again?.
Islamists poured on to the streets after Friday prayers in a show of force that briefly unified extremist groups from the majority Barelvi sect, which the TLP springs from, and the more traditionally hardline Deobandis. Terrorist-linked outfits including Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat held rallies in Islamabad, alleging that the EU had pressurised the government into releasing Bibi.
While the protests were ongoing, unknown assailants stabbed Sami ul Haq? the leader of the Haqqania madras](Pakistan's 'father of the Taliban' killed in knife attack | Pakistan | The Guardian)a known as the ?father of the Taliban? ? to death in his own home.
The spokesperson for Pakistan?s army, Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, said that the military?s chief condemned the assassination and expressed ?grief and condolences? for the ul Haq family. Earlier in the day, Ghafoor released a statement about the protests which avoided criticising the TLP, despite its leaders calling for soldiers to mutiny.
Her lawyer has left Pakistan
Which is good as he can get international attention to this case now
Since these people killed Salman taseer and his killer is considered as a saint with people going to his grave , whoever kills the judge or the her lawyer too will be treated the same with much honor
Thread should be renamed to case re opened instead of released
So much for the power of mullah that the government is useless
Now in Pakistan there are rumors that even Asia babi as fled from country before the agreement.
But nevertheless it ends up become the same. Govt has surrendered to these snakes. And at some other point these snakes will bite again. Its so stupid. I’m strongly against all dictators but atleast Musharraf had a spine to deal with Lal Masjid clerics.
anyhow, for now the sigh of relief is that things are getting normalized but to people like me who believe in a system, its very temporary.
These elements were trained for other purpose by the supreme authoriy in PK but now they got out of control. Remember during last dharna the COAS saying , yeh hamare apnee log hain . un per goli kaise chalai jaa sakti hey . so they end up distributing 1000 rs for them to go back…
Now these ppl of not even in their control. Even 5000 Rs will not work
I shouldn’t have to elaborate on the hate speech process as your Southern demographic must have you very well-acquainted with it all. Looking through both sides of a coin does not make one an “apologetic of blasphemy laws”. Yes, the prejudice may be there given her religion but that’s the case for any country. Minorities are minorities wherever you go and this is not just limited to a country like Pakistan.
I’m unsure whether or not she was falsely accused, but given the current circumstance my comments were pertinent her actually doing the blasphemy. If she was wrongly accused, I sincerely hope the accusers are held accountable and that she is absolved sooner rather than later.
Speaking Ill of a religion of a religion is not the same as attacking or abusing a person based on religion or other orientations. Peaceful protests can be one way of countering those who speak against religion. A society that condemns people to death for such insults is not a civilized society - to be kind.
Will any Imran Khan supporters condemn him for this -other than the one poster here?
What these ignorant protesters fail to realize is that Prophet (saw) suffered much more at the hands of nonbelievers but still dealt with them gently and forgave all. These jerks are burning things and going chaotic over a mother of five, all in the name of love for the Prophet, an emotion that is entirely opposite of their actions.
Yes sir. I agree. Nothing more pathetic and disgraceful than these protesters. Every society has its ups and downs, depending on sentiments being triggered.
However, your definition of a civilized society stretches out further than Pakistan, considering the entire continent of Asia uncivilized. India included of course.
Absolutely. Am no fan of the right wing government in India. I condem targeting of Muslims wrt beef. Muslims should be allowed to eat beef if they choose to.
How incredibly incompetent of the govt. not to have arranged her exit from Pakistan immediately.
This! :k:
Since this whole fiasco started I’ve been remembering the stories we studied during our childhood about how a old woman used to throw garbage on holy Prophet and when when one day she didnt, our prophet asked where is she. The companions told that she is sick. Prophet (PBUH) went to visit her if she is ok and eventually she converted.
Neither he nor his companions thought of the “blasphemy” that woman was committing.
Sis, this is your original comment: “Blasphemy and hate speech go hand in hand. You’ve got to be kidding yourself if you think otherwise. Societies with strictly defined blasphemy laws aim to prevent the spread of profanity and hate against other religions due to diversity factors.”
This is not some cost-benefit analysis going on over here.
Yes, prejudice will exist everywhere. The issue is the fact that the prejudice against Christians (and other religious minorities) in Pakistan is on an institutional level. The ideal government protects its minorities from the nutjobs of the majority, it doesn’t give the majority weapons to harm the minority.
This molvie who has given fatwa for chief justice n army chief need to be put in jail on account of treason…
govt need to be strong. It was cause more problems but this is the only way. Put all garbage under the carpet policy need to be stopped
