Since you are one of the proponents of Art Forum. How about you post a few threads about these topics that you mentioned in one of the forums. and lets see how the public receives them. So far all we have for an example is HHL and his painting threads.

i dont want to make this a portfolio and self indulgence forum.. rather a disscussion forum in general with topics that dealwith this mere subject /

Guys, let's not indulge ourselves in who should be the Mod and who should post what. This forum without doubt will be a nice addition to other forums and will be different. It'll not only give people the chance to show their work but also for others to share their ideas/views on diffrent aspects of art and learn more. Perhaps some people here do not take interest in Art because they don't know where to share their ideas and/or perhaps Art was not given any attention in the past? Maybe once Art has its own forum, people might start taking interest and show their hidden talent.

^ I think they are still deciding and looking into the matter (hence: not posting). Once they have their decision, they will let us know.

serious note:
if its depending on me then i did posted some. i will inshaALLAH post more. i just need time.
n if i finded those art n image gallery forum worth enough for my or HHLz beautiful art pieces, i wouldnt had wasted enough time here arguing.

if modz thinks that image/ gallery is the only best way to promote professional art then i wont say anything, but also i wont post anything there. (that in future i am planning too)
