, quas you are excused, you can keep on orating.
Re: Are Indian muslims pro-Pakistani?
I can agree with the opinion that Indian muslims might have a soft spot for Pakistan and it's natural, but on the other hand I can also imagine some indian muslims (however small in number) to be more anti-pakistan than their hindu counterparts.
Re: Are Indian muslims pro-Pakistani?
As far as temple bells disturb the common man during Hindu festive season, it is also equally true that loud speakers in the mosque used during Ramadan month also disturb the non-muslims.
I used to tell my mother to influence upon others (my mother is quite active in the social activity of muslim women) not to use the loud speakers during the early morning of Ramadan month. A simple azaan without the use of electrical/electronic gadget is so natural and so much refreshing to hear.
This also reminds me of melodious sound of church bells during evening without the use of any modern gadgets in a small European village which I used to listen with utmost attention.
Re: Are Indian muslims pro-Pakistani?
I think that with a few exceptions, it is true that pro-Pak means anti-India since the two countries stand for diametrically opposite things. The 4 wars haven't made things any easier.
The exceptions to the above could be music, cricket, cuisine etc.
Re: Are Indian muslims pro-Pakistani?
^^
This is the kind of mentality that could prove detrimental to the two countries in the long run. There is a lot that can be gained by mutual co-operation and respect. More so for Pakistan. They can get cheap and affordable hospital care instead of flying to Dubai where treatments are more expensive. India can gain access to a market which might flourish in the long run.
It is time that we left our fears and suspicions by the wayside and move on !!!

True. However, we are going to face the same road block i.e. Pakistan sponsoring terrorism in Kashmir. Unless, that is stopped I don't think any efforts to make progress can start.
Re: Are Indian muslims pro-Pakistani?
I have read some where that the Shahrukh Khan( film actor) family was one of those Muslim families who migrated from Pakistan to India during partition....a real blow to Pak ethics.
Re: Are Indian muslims pro-Pakistani?
I am a born Hindu and in person I have nothing against people of Pakistan.
And all kind of bla-bla on Gupshup… is nothing but a good pastime.
Re: Are Indian muslims pro-Pakistani?
There is a possibility to that some families migrated towards India, for example there were 100 family members on Indian side and didn't have ability to move towards Pakistan but there were 10 member on Pakistani side who saw that after borders establishment it would be difficult to see each other hence they moved to live with the 100 members.
Re: Are Indian muslims pro-Pakistani?
There are probably a lot more Hindu families who migrated/were forced to migrate from Pakistan than Muslims. Majority of Hindu Punjabis in Delhi came from across the border.
Re: Are Indian muslims pro-Pakistani?
That sorta of migration happened from both sides i.e. out of fear, out of harassment etc. My own family faced similar exodus, all Hindus/Sikhs came out with their weapons in the area forcing all Muslims to gather in few houses from where they fled together in groups avoiding the terrorists etc.
Re: Are Indian muslims pro-Pakistani?
I know a prominent muslim (memon) business family moved to Pakistan and along with them their important Hindu accountats (mehta ji) too migrated to Pakistan. These are exceptional cases.
Human species have been regularly migrating to different parts of the world since time immemorial.
But the large exodus of five million people during partition of the Indian subcontinent is the largest and biggest migration in the human history

I supported Pakistani Hockey and Cricket team against India during my childhood and teen years because of the discrimination I felt at school, but today I am a hundred percent pro-Indian. I hate native Pakistanis (because of their discriminatory feelings against Indian muslim migrants) as much as I hate Hindu Fundamentalist and BJP activist. My best friends are secular minded Hindus and Muslims and Christians and Sikhs. And today's India reflects that secular principle (Prime Minister is a Sikh and President is a muslim).
