Member of Punjab Assembly Liaqat Ali Ghuman sent his resignation to the PML-N leadership before the announcement of verdict on fake degree case, on Wednesday.
Sources told Online that Liaqat Ali Ghuman contested in the elections on fake degree of the Punjab University and his rival, Azeem Noori Ghuman had filed a petition in the Election Tribunal Punjab.
Justice Nasir Saeed of Lahore High Court (LHC) was hearing the case but the MPA has already sent his resignation.
According to sources, Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has not sent the resignation to Speaker Punjab Assembly for approval.
Spokesperson of Punjab Government, Senator Pervez Rashid when contacted said that the case of Liaqat Ali Ghuman is under trial in the Election Tribunal and expressed his unawareness about the resignation of the MPA.

I simply fail to understand why and how SC is letting these guys content election again? They made FALSE CLAIMS on govt documents. If a poor guys make a small mistake on Govt form, they are normally all over it.

These MNAs should be punished and all the expenses of by-election should be taken from these guys.

I support PPP for its great struggle but I never support Rahman Malik , Babar Awan and some of this type but read this thread again and enjoy. I could not change the title of thread other wise I should like it to convert into Club of Criminals.

Dont mince words... I have YET to see you speak against this PPP fool that was disqualified because of a fake degree, yet you posted 50-100 replies about the PML[N] guy. The PPP idiot didnt even know Surahs, or even the duration of his (fake) degree program, and was appointed at a religious position. You don't support Babar Awan, or Rahman Malik, then who do you think is running the show in the PPP these days?

Your hypocrisy and jiyalaism is pretty self apparent here.

Now coming to you. When the SC does something, you claim they are overstepping their authority and are interfering and poking their noses in their business. First of all, I know your hero Mushy was badly humiliated by the SC and he lost and ran away in the end, but you really need to put that behind you. SC did in fact go after that PPP fool (you wont find Mr. PPPasha mentioning his name here), but you would probably consider that an overstepping of authority.

      **Fraud case registered against PML-N MPA

** Updated at: 1810 PST, Thursday, M LAHORE: A fraud case was registered at Ferozwala Police Station on Thursday against Sakina Shaheen, a member of Punjab Assembly belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

The applicant, Sakhawat, alleged that Ms Shaheen and a state agent had collected Rs800, 000/- from him for an 8-Kanal plot. However, they neither gave the plot nor did they return the money, he said.

On this, the police filed a case against the MPA on charges of fraud and cheating. But it is yet to arrest her. Sakina Shaheen was elected on a special PML-N seat.

Incidentally Spock this thread is curiously absent of condemnations from you on PML[N] misdeeds, though you keep pointing PPP supporters to threads on PPP misdeeds and saying why dont they condemn it. even go so far as saying things like Zardari did worse or whatever. presumably they can go and point you to this thread and say why dont you condemn PML[N] you hypocrite and so the cycle continues.

Thats exactly what SC is doing. Poking nose in the matter where it should not and not doing its duty where it should. Its a simple case to me. Guys lied and provided false information willingly and should be banned.

Now coming to you. When SC does something out of its jurisdiction, you are all applause for obvious reason but when it does not do its duty, you close your eyes. Most probably coz a good number of these jali degree holders are from PML(N)?

        DERA GHAZI KHAN: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has awarded an open ticket for the PP-240 by-election to former MPA Sardar Mir Badshah Qaisrani despite the fact that his rival candidate Imam Bakhsh Qaisrani has challenged his nomination papers and the election tribunal will hear it on May 18.

Talking to The News here on Sunday, Sardar Mir Badshah Qaisrani said that he had been awarded the ticket on the condition that if the election tribunal barred him from contesting the by-poll, then his wife Shamoona Ambreen Qaisrani would contest on the party ticket. He said that he had been awarded the ticket with the efforts of CM’s Adviser Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa. He said that he respected Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa being the tribal chief and senior political leader. He claimed that Zulfiqar Ali Khosa would shortly visit the constituency to start the election campaign.

When contacted, Punjab Minister for Local Government Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa confirmed that the PML-N leadership had awarded the ticket to Sardar Mir Badshah Qaisrani. The seat fell vacant after the resignation of Mir Badshah Qaisrani on account of fake degree. Sardar Mir Badshah Qaisrani was elected an MPA in the 2002 general elections on the ticket of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid. He left the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid in 2008 and joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

Meanwhile, people belonging to the Qaisrani tribe welcomed and celebrated the award of PML-N ticket with crackers, aerial firing and traditional Balochi dance.

The overjoyed workers and supporters also took out a procession in Kot Qaisrani, the native town of Mir Badshash Qaisrani. However, the decision has disappointed rest of the candidates. Sardar Muhammad Iqbal Khan Qaisrani, his son Sardar Javed Iqbal Khan Qaisrani and Khawaja Hafiz Muhammad Dawood Sulemani were making efforts to get the party ticket on the grounds for their relations with the Khosa groupEarlier, Punjab CM’s Adviser Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa held meetings with various candidates, including Khawaja Nasirul Mehmood, Hafiz Khawja Muhammad Dawood Sulemani and Sardar Muhammad Iqbal Khan Qaisrani.

There were some reports that Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, being the senior political leader , did not show his consent for Mir Badshah or his wife when the issue came under discussion by the top command of the PML-N. However, Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif favoured Sardar Mir Badshah Qaisrani and directed him to end reservations of Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa.

         	             	             					               	LAHORE, (SANA): Jamshoro university declared the degree of Pakistan Muslim League-N member from Punjab Assembly, Safdar Gul fake on Tuesday.

The alleged fake degree holder MPA won election from Hasil Pur constituency No. 274 in the general election 2008.
The citizen who challenged the degree of Safdar Gul was directed to provide complete evidence to the court in the next hearing on June 10.
However, on the other hand, Safder Gul claimed that his degree is genuine and it will be proved in the court in the coming appearance.
The degree of another PML-N MPA, Ahsan Raza, was also challenged by Haji Zaheer.
Senior minister of Punjab Zulfiqar Kosa said that fake degrees holders would not be tolerated in the party at any cost.

ISLAMABAD: Another Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA is facing court proceedings for having a fake educational certificate, but he says he will get the accuser handcuffed for hurling this allegation against him.

Khwaja Muhammad Islam, who happens to be the Faisalabad city president of the PML-N, is facing the allegation of having a fake certificate and the Lahore High Court is hearing this case today. Details reveal that Khwaja Ejaz Ahmad, who contested the 2008 polls against Muhammad Islam, has accused that Islam holds a fake certificate of Intermediate, as it was obtained from the Faisalabad Board in 1987 while the board came into existence in 1988.

The documents submitted by Khwaja Ejaz Ahmad in the Lahore High Court state that the sitting PML-N MPA got his Inter certificate from the Faisalabad Board in 1987 under seat number-78609 and certificate number-D036550. A letter from the Faisalabad Boardís controller of examination has also been attached with the plea which states: “The first examination of intermediate conducted by this board was in autumn 1988. So the issuance of certificate No D036550 bearing seat no 78609 and session Annual 1987 received from your end is beyond imagination and is being declared as bogus.” Islam told The News that all the documents submitted by his opponents in the LHC were fabricated.

Not correct. Supreme court has declared it against the public rights in 2008.
No concern with18th amendment.
