LAHORE: A Punjab woman MPA went on shopping spree using a stolen credit card.
Punjab Government spokesman has said that action will be taken against the MPA in case it is proved she had committed the crime.
According to sources, a woman named Zaira Malik has filed an application in a police station against Punjab MPA Shumaila Anjum Rana. Zaira Malik said payment of Rs80,000 was made from her credit card for the shopping.
It may be mentioned here that the MPA belongs to Pakistan Muslim Leagu-N.

This is a good trend we have seen in Pakistani politics, Parties are taking action against their own MPA/MNA workers, hope this trend continues and these MPA/MNA gets the idea that, once in the office they have to be more careful..

Ms Shumaila rana is part of chief minister's IDP relief fund committee...Now who wants to donate while people such as Ms Shumaila are monitoring IDP's relief fund. she can fall so low to get some clothes and jewellary imagine how much money she has taken illegaly from the IDP fund?

very cheap of her to steal someones credit card! No matter how wealthy some people may be, their honger for more remains. What was she thinking when she went shopping with the stolen card?

You are right on that one, rule of law is only for the one who cannot pay to the law enforcement agencies, rest can buy it like any other commodity available in the market.
we can blame the politicians, they carry bigger % of the mess we are in, but we are somehow responsible for our conditions too... we lacks the moral values and shy away from the responsibilities where one can stand for right or wrong...
PML(N) for instance could have been pressurized by the civil society and media to take action against the accused MPA, but we didn't see much of that on the news channels nor any NGO ( who were quick to respond on MukhtaraaN Mai case) took any interest in the case, then why shold PML(N) would take action against their own MPA...
In the case of this lady who stole some thing like 80,000/- Pak Rs, should be prosecuted according to law, she fell as low as steeling the card ( may be because of greed or what ever reason we may not be aware of) and going for shopping ( well she deserve to be prosecuted, what kind of jahil khatoon is she, who don't know that the shopping on someone else's credit card can be caugt easily)...
Anyway, it was media who brought the cases out, it was media who decided to drop the case of Rape ( although will be remembered by the public).. funniest thing was, none of the other party like PML (Q) or PPPP or Tehrek-e-Insaf or Jamat-e-Islami took any action for the rape case, i wonder y

You can see media how active in case of recovery of arms from a car of a provincial minister of Sindh.
Minister have reached at Karachi airport from Islamabad and arms were recovered from the officials who were reached airport to recieve him.
Where is the offence of minister. Media is active.

KARACHI: The police have stopped Sindh minister for Transportation Akhter Jadon at Jinnah international airport over carrying unlicensed illegal weapons here late on Monday, Geo news reported.
According to details, the minister came here from Islamabad when the Airport Security Force (ASF) searched the vehicle arrived at airport to take him from there, recovering unlicensed illegal weapons.
The recovered armaments included one Kalashnikov, two pistols and several rounds of bullets, According to ASF sources.
The minister, when asked about the license of weapons by ASF, argued and quarreled with them, admitting the ownership of weapon and refusing to produce their license before them as this was his protocol, sources said.
Following the argumentation, the ASF handed him over to airport police while the provincial minister for Transportation Akhter Jadon was said to be belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), sources added.

^ you do realize this guy is a peepliya, though I dont blame him for carrying weapons in KArachi, especially since the MQM these days is killing alot of haqiqi members in target killings.
