Animal cruelty in childhood

Is it normal in Pakistan? In most countries if a child shows some tendencies towrds animal cruelty, parents and schools take it very seriously and consult to psychiatrists. why is it different for us? is it lack of awreness and understanding or what?

PLease discuss…

Getting a thrill out of killing/hurting animals is sick and disgusting. We all know what sort of people do it here in the US. Those that do it in Pakistan are mostly jahil ganwaar types living in villages. Kids using 'ghulaail's to kill birds and all. The Prophet Mohammad (Pbuh) even in those times advocated and gave animals (beasts of burden in particular) rights.

my cousin he was 9 years old he used to “qeemafy” little chicks and goldfish or any other little animal kittens sumtimes and no1 really cared like it was no big deal :crying:

no shrink no nothing i wonder wat he does now? qeemafy people? :hayaa:

I once threw 5 pigeon babies out of the 7th floor window.

As little one we used to ‘rope’ the cat and carry around like a pet, of course cat never liked that and we’d drag her around, or tie a thread on dragon-fly and show it as pet (cuz dogs weren’t allowed in our house) but we’d get daant-dapat from elders all the time :bummer:. Keeping birds/pigeons is/was considered as cruelty though.

As kids we were told if you hurt a cat then somewhere a ship will sink :smiley:

Would it not mellow them down if they take their aggression out on animals while they are child ? :hmmm: This should save them from becoming serial killers or any other kind of criminal. The reason you do not hear the news of school , college , university , workplace shooting might be this too. It is just a thought , I might be wrong.

awwwwwwwww i neva ever did anything to poor innocent animals...o haan i remember in my childhood i had a "chiria" jis k sath mere bhai ne itna behram salook kia tha k....i cant forget that "chiria"...uss bechari k par kaat k uss ko berahmi se :( saheed kar diya :(
