And Monk, here's the thing. I agree with Psquared. I had a cousin - she was dating left and right, had boys calling and had phone boyfriends and was having secret meetings. Her mom found out and she continued to have bf's but they just had to be disclosed to parents and the boys were required to visit the home and family when they wanted to talk to her. So she had like groups of guys coming over, and I mean...coming from a background where every day is spent in school and home, and where we go to sunday masjid school and learn all about Islam...this was really weird to me.
Mind you, this girl's mother was a bonified burqay wali and would come down on me for not covering my hair.
Every boy raised in Pakistan has lost his virginity prior to marriage - guys who are my cousins, guys in the neighborhood I knew from my visits to Pakistan - all of them, class 1 skanks.
The amount of sexual behavior there is rampant.
But anyway, here's another question: what is wrong with having a boyfriend anyway? As long as things don't get physical, and you work on developing that into a marriage situation, why not? The same cousin who had guys coming over eventually married one of them. You never know where your qismat is written so why close doors, because hai Allah, its Gunnah to talk to the opposite sex before marriage. You wont ever meet anyone that way.

I find the whole reasoning being displayed in this thread of desi boys marrying white girls cause they have less nakhray really interesting, only cause of teh amount of white men who refuse to marry white women and prefer marrying far east (asian) girls (meaning thai, chinese, indonesian, filipino, etc.) for the exact same reasons given in this thread (having too many nakhray).
