I tried that but then i just eat he eat :)

Re: Alternative to

^^ :hehe: yeh am not a girlie girl when it comes to eating.
I can EAT!

I did try the rubber band thing, that seems to be working for today.
Or maybe I just passed the time of day that I usually have chocolate so the craving went away.

RUBBER BAND treatment it is then.

Re: Alternative to

You’re so much cuter when you’re mad.

Re: Alternative to

Aj we r talking about cravings not fetishes, hope u r aware of that :mocking:

Re: Alternative to

lol did it hurt, if it didn’t help…try a stapler

jk…

Re: Alternative to

If you are still having problems regardless of the rubber band therapy,
go for a low fat drink (choclate milk may be) instead of candy.

Re: Alternative to

i dont know if it will work for u or not. . . but i took it as a PERSONAL challenge to be able to control my cravings/addictions... smoking, drinking to name the addictions, and then unhealthy/fastfoods/sweets was the cravings-part..

theory was .. if i give in, i lost.. basically i had to train myself.. and part of dealing with your OWN self is that u cant really cheat..

so if u wanna control, then just tell urself the side effects/disadvantages of certain cravings..

(btw, u will NEVER crave for something nice/healthy/legal) (and if u do, it would be debatable/taboo)

Re: Alternative to

muniya go to one of em hypnotists, they will ake you think that you hate chocolate, problem solved

Re: Alternative to

but that costs $$

Re: Alternative to

^^ Fraudz bhai is very generou, he is paying for it ;-) :D

Re: Alternative to

I have tried the eating till you puke part and it works,a lteast for a little bit. I mean i just didnt buy chocolate for months and then all of a sudden, i cant get enough. So i am again eating till i puke part :bummer:

Re: Alternative to

Doing that can also make you anorexic :hoonh:

Re: Alternative to

Anorexic or do you mean bulimic?? No i dont have issues like taht Alhamdulillah. Its just the hormones i think :( Women are doomed to love chocolate, or most of us anyways :(

Re: Alternative to

Aren't anorexic and bulimic the same thing...

Re: Alternative to

No, anorexics are one who dont eat and starve themselves. Bulimics are ones who eat and then make themselves puke.

Re: Alternative to

My theory is a bit different.
It might be almost bizzare but it works.

I cant resist food, I have to eat.
Burgers, chips, chocolate, anything chatpati.

I learned extremely early that I cant be anorexic, cant resist food

I’ll eat nonstop regardless.

Going through pregnancy and morning sickness took the equation out for being builimic or however that word is spelt.
Once you’ve thrown up for nine months you’d never wanna throw up again

so i found a new way to help myself.
Once you cross 25 the body starts losing its elasticity and spunk.
You gotta take care of it or else you’ll end up with flabs and love handles and bluging tummies.

The way i program my diet is i work on reward points.

I’ll be extremely good to my body the whole day.
Feed it healthy food, no fats, no oils, enough fibre and carbs for bodily functions.
Enough Vit C for the Iron to be absorbed.
To sum it all, I turn food into healthy.

However by the end of the day I have a special time where I spoil myself.

If i want that chocolate I’ll have it guilt free cause I know that I’ve been extremely good to myself.

Make your own reward points.

And treat yourself.

The more you deny yourself, the more you’ll crave it.

Re: Alternative to

I want new shoes and a hat for melbourne cup.

Can you pay for that too :frowning:

Im sorry I dont have food problems. Just Shoe Fetish.

Re: Alternative to

LB - I think thats what wieght watchers is based on.
I have been on and off WW for so long now that that system isn’t working for me.

I have been keeping iwth the rubber band and it seems to be working jsut fine.
Almsot to the point where I dotn even want to think about the chocolate anymore. I get fidgety when I am at work - like I said its just an excuse to go somewhere.

I still take the walk but I go for magazines instead now.

Slow and steady wins the race.

LB - I always LOVE you advice - your the sister I never had.

Re: Alternative to

Just PRETEND mentally that your fasting, so no chocolate allowed. Hey we spent a month without eating dring the day...why not skip one craving. If you really crave it, then just keep it out of reach. Get something else sugary, thats better for you, or rather chocolate flavored cookies even....

Re: Alternative to

Or just instead of thinking about the chocolate as chocolate, think of it as larger corporations selling you dog poo:cb: not that they don’t already do that…
