What has worked for me is the following...and believe me ITS NOT FOLPROOF!! I still have my cheating days but just less..

I try to anticipate the craving...I started by realizing when I had my worst cravings and when I was most suspectible to cheating on myself...

Once I knew what triggered it for me, or what time I would want that. I tried to beat myself to it.....and have snacks ready...

Now, the key for me was the snack being something I wanted to eat and not something that felt like a punishment.....so if i have the worlds biggest craving for cookies....so I bouth Thinsations Cookies, which are a 100 calories for the whole bag....and they take care of the craving, or the small single size servings of the pringles....or the ALL BRAN cookie type bar....

Also, I love Zuchinni with this asian sesame dressing...so I made sure I had cut up zucchinni and pre-measured dressing.....

Im also a fruit nut - or have become one with diet...hahahaha so I always have a fruit hanging around..

those are things that worked for me..

Who spends around $500 dollars on chocolates in a year, I probably spend like $10 in a year....

Chocolate bars are like $0.50 each for a regular sized Snickers…what do you guys buy gourmet chocolate :confused:

It's ok to have things in moderation. I love dark, dark, bittersweet chocolate and thankfully that's actually good for you. I also used to have 1/4 to 1/2 of a chocolate protein bar as a desert. This was while I was running so I didn't worry about calories. But now I do occasionally allow myself a tiny, halloween size twix. If you eat it slow enough it feels like eating a whole chocolate bar.

Do I eat gourmet chocolates...no but I don't eat 50 cent chocolates either.

Hershy's, cadbury, dove; etc are good quality chocolate but not gourmet.

Muniya, have you looked into pedometers? They are often a good motivator to get out and walk run etc. But by no means they are any measure of how healthy one is.

Actually our company gave out free pedometers to get people out of the chair and as per our gym lady here, it has made a BIG difference. People just come to the gym, get on the threadmill and rake up the steps.

What ever She is saying makes a lot of sense, but substitute the regular milk choclate with UNSWEETENED DARK CHOCLATE.


**You get all the benefits of choclate without too much calories, and I gaurantee that you will forget your craving for CHOCLATE...:D **

Chocolate....why on earth would you want to stop eating it......chocolate....hey I even named our dog coco...ok ...the spellings r a little different then the real cocoa....but what the heck....still is coco.......

Just so you know, today people give out FREE choclate :smiley: eat all you want for FREE! Did I mention FREE???

Also, on average the chocolate prices drop almost to half after the Halloween because the grocery stores want to get rid of all their piled up inventory. Maybe a good time to stack up! :devil:
