Allah and Global warming.

Re: Allah and Global warming.

And also, another "Expert", Zakir Naik blatantly lied to his audience that evolution had not been proved since it was a "Theory. It's a theory in the same sense that the Heliocentric theory is a theory.

Islamic Experts have brought Pakistan to a point of collapse and led to hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide over the years. Muslims would be much better of without these "Experts".

Re: Allah and Global warming.

The Quran doesn't explicitly say that EVERY INCH was covered with water. In the past, many areas were covered by water that aren't now, like the Sahara. The whole Nuh story may mean that there was a kickass flood.

Re: Allah and Global warming.

Zakir Nayak is not a Pakistani.

Re: Allah and Global warming.

pal have you heard of my frand haroon yahya?

:D

Re: Allah and Global warming.

I didn't say he was. But he sure as hell is an "Islamic Expert".

Tell me one thing, why must you always twist words?

Re: Allah and Global warming.

Nope, who is he??

EDIT: Just checked. Wikipedia to the rescue :p

Re: Allah and Global warming.

you are pickin on small fish like zakir naik. he is nothing compared to harun yahya in the world of those that oppose evolution as being real. google kro. he hawt.

Re: Allah and Global warming.

Ok, lets just say for the sake of YOUR argument that it was a local flood and that his aircraft carrier DID end up on mount ararat/judi.

Mount Ararat is 5,137 metres (16,854 FT) high. Even if the Ark were to have settled half way up the mountain...do the math and figure out how much water would have been in the region in order to float a water craft that high up. Do you know what kind of volumes of water we're talking about? And to all fall within 40 days?

Let's not even get into how you'd get 2 of every species on the planet into the cramped ark. Did Noah venture to Australia to get a couple of platypus? And what about the aboriginal peoples of Australia?

Re: Allah and Global warming.

Ya I checked. And this reminds me of the quote:

"God must like idiots, because he sure created a lot of em"

Re: Allah and Global warming.

Man that's the problem. Don't take everything literally, like two of every animal and all that. I believe that Hazrat Nuh's story was about a really big flood and he put some animals and people on an Ark and rode it out.

Re: Allah and Global warming.

Since when you think Islamic experts run Pakistan and led to hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide?

Did they make any weapon of mass killers?

About Zakir naik you have been answered.

Re: Allah and Global warming.

Can we please stay on the topic?

Re: Allah and Global warming.

This thread just goes to show that we all have our own version of interpretation for everything. There is a vast difference of opinion even among muslims of different schools of thought- atheism to DUUUR ki baat hai!

Let’s face it we believe what we would like to believe. Let’s not use science or religion to validate our opinions! Let’s take science for what it is - imperfect, time consuming, worth studying and there are facts and theories. Let’s take religion for what it is - a guide to life, set of rules, open to interpretations but everything YOU believe is a fact.

Bas.. :chai:

Re: Allah and Global warming.

finally, this thread delivers.

Re: Allah and Global warming.

Nice thread Monk. :)

Re: Allah and Global warming.

is it global warming, or did it just get hot in heeya.. _

Re: Allah and Global warming.

perhaps that depends on your definition of evolution.

Re: Allah and Global warming.

I never used Quran to refute evolution. :chai:

Re: Allah and Global warming.

that’s alright. no one can.

Re: Allah and Global warming.

And the biggest irony of it all is that these scientists believe(d) in a divine intervention - God (aka Allah).

The very people on whose theories people of no religion base their theories on.
