As an honest man of reason/science, you should not feel obliged to disregard those lines** j**ust because they are from surah Rehman :)

Re: Allah and Global warming.
Allah did not tell the believers to go and violate human rights in the name of religion or go and strip women of their rights. Where did you get this idea from ? Anybody can give legitimacy to their action from religion or their philosophy , in China , Russia , Cuba atheists are violating human rights in the name of communism.
The fact that men have "rights" over women is enough to justify anything they wish to do to women.
It is humans who will violate any rights in the name of sect , philosophy , science , religion . Even if you eliminate religion from the face of earth , do you think , human right violations will stop ?
Exactly! therefore it nullifies the need for any religion!
Re: Allah and Global warming.
What's the point? you and others will come back with more twisted explanations/interpretations/excuses. I ain't falling for it. Go google it! There's a ton of information out there...but then again, you expect everything that goes against your faith some kind of Jewish anti-Islamic propaganda.
It's not worth it.. let's just drop it. If you so wish to seek it, go find it yourself.
If you find no point in an intelligent discussion then I can understand why you cannot see another's perspective.
I am willing to look at things logically.......in fact, I'm asking you to show me......and you find no better answer but to dismiss me?
I will go and look for it myself because I do seek knowledge; partially because my faith teaches me to. I was just hoping someone like you might be able to save me some time with examples at hand.

Not sure why get so flustered?
Why be adamant on what atheism says is always correct?
When everyone who disputes atheistic point of view is considered 'extreme religious', then what does that make you or others who are so intolerant?
Extreme anti-religious!

either an answer or an admission will be fine,. heck, even silence will do ......no need to launch insults.....
Re: Allah and Global warming.
Yeah, i will gladly dismiss your request because you won’t like what I and others have to say about it.. and this discussion will go no where. Like I said, there’s more than enough information just a click away, go FIND it yourself. I avoid religious discussions on this forum because it gets nasty.
Faith has no logic. You are not willing to ever admit that Quran contradicts itself and as an atheist, I will never find any holybook logical enough to convince me. You have a learned reaction to such “accusations” made about Quran. Why would I waste my time with such discussions then?
Dono ka dimagh kharab hoga and I will get banned. :pcg:
Re: Allah and Global warming.
dear munna,
ok ji, fine.
it can't be possible because you can't prove it. Not with facts, not with scientific theories not with mathematics. has there been any scientific research, papers, testing, and if there is, let me see please. thanks,
dr.
Re: Allah and Global warming.
Suite yourself. Much is apparent in attitude that doesn’t need to be said.
I commend you for knowing your limits.
Let’s just agree to disagree then.
For the record, I am not out to convince anyone…as I have said in the past, there is no compulsion in religion/faith. I was merely seeking knowledge for myself and had hopes that someone might be able to help in the process.
Re: Allah and Global warming.
As Muzna said it before FAITH has logic who want to see it. I really want to open a discussion for atheists just for knowledge though. That how everything is happening itself? And how this world was made?

I agree with you that I can't prove it. I am not trying to prove it.
I am merely suggesting that the possibility that it was about global warming exists. I have faith so I believe without proof. Judged in my circle I am not wrong.
You demand testing and evidence therefore you don't believe. Judged in your circle you are not wrong.
Why is there a need for either one of us to be wrong?
Re: Allah and Global warming.
*The watch in the desert was just put there, it works perfectly fine....but there was no creator. *
I think even the atheist will 'believe' with 'logic' that it didn't just appear out of nothing - somoneone must have created it and put it there. Now this is belief and logic compiled in one.
Re: Allah and Global warming.
No, it’s not about who’s right or wrong. It’s about logic, which all faiths lack and should not be compared with science.
Please don’t put words in my mouth. I never said all of you are extremely religious. Keep your asusmptions to yourself. You are only projecting your own supressed feelings about atheism.
Can you please stop answering a question with another question? ![]()

Acha so I need special glasses to see it. Too bad Allah never gave me one so I can't see it. That has to be it!
You have been raised to believe that God says "be" and it is. It is the only possible explanation for you. I never cared too much about believing in God in the first place so I turned to science to teach me how things happened. Science can only explain things to a certain degree and I am happy with that. But i am not ready to accept that God (as religions paint it) is the ultimate force behind everything that exists. It makes no sense to me because I am used to the scientific method. I can't believe in something that can't be touched, seen, or proven using the scientific method. You can argue what I consider to be a good enough proof... but that's another discussion..

lets see if you can answer this objectively - if this was the answer of a student to an 8th grade exam on explaining global warming, would it even make passing grade?

absolutely not.
and?
Re: Allah and Global warming.
and why not?
Re: Allah and Global warming.
lets see if you can answer this objectively - if this was the answer of a student to an 8th grade exam on explaining global warming, would it even make passing grade?
because the exam is not based on Islam........
if the exam asked "in the light of the Quran and its teachings, explain global warming......" then it might contribute but I'm sure that your example is not suggesting this.
