Kenny no its different, Camp X-ray was all Muslims they are nothing, this is the great powerful Americans.
Makes me sick

Does anyone remember the pictures the American's took after they butchered Iraqi soldiers at mutla ridge, in the first Gulf war? I distinctly remember a horrifying picture of an Iraqi soldier burned to his bare bones clinging onto a vehicle the American's had decimated? Where was the Geneva convention then when the American's took these genocidal pictures to show to the world?
I agree that as muslims the prisoners of wars should be treated well. But seeing the carnage that is being carried out in Iraq, where who knows how many people have been killed, how do you think the people of Iraq should react? Even our army has been carrying out disgusting acts like these, but they are by individuals. Some people are talking of the justification/legality of this action. I say is this action of the US justified?
**
Zaavia sahib, no where have I condoned the carnage in Iraq. Nightly, I say my prayers to Allah to protect the innocents. However linking that with the POW issue is not correct. Ofcourse the people of Iraq will be full or rage justifiably so, however do you forget your humanity simply because the other side has chosen that route?
**
Even the Americans are saying that 10-12 soldiers are missing.
**
I was referring to the Maintance man from Kansas and his comments. Come on now, just picture yourself in his position.
**
I'm sorry, but I dont feel sorry for the ******s that have been killed in Iraq dropping thosands of tons. *
Fine don't. You and I will face the Creator separately. Human life whether Iraqi or American, Pakistani or Indian is the SAME. If we spend our time continuing the cycle of vengence, just realize that you too, a Muslim in America can be next.

Ignore the UN but adhere to the Geneva Convention. LOL. Makes sense..

No only quote the Geneva convention when it suits you. Yesterday the Red Cross was saying the US was violating the Geneva Convention by parading Iraqi soldiers, and the American's dismissed that. Are American soldiers more precious than Iraqi soldiers?
Where was the Geneva convention when the American's were glorifying and taking pictures of their slaugter at mutla ridge in 1991? Hypocrites...
yaar as far as the maintainance man is concerned, you are right. But picture yourself in the place of Iraqis. I hope you have seen the pictures of the other night when the Americans launched the operation Shock and AWE. What ever the Iraqis have done is normal in war times, and the Americans should be prepared for that. If I am not wrong even our army did the same thing with some Indian soldiers during the Kargil conflict, and yes dont forget the Bangal affair. All I am saying that its normal in war times, and shows the desperation of the Iraqis.
Let's not make people guilty by association. The Army is a good place of employment for many people who want to enjoy job security and benefits, in regards to the situation in the US. If this poor fellow or some others ended up captured by the Iraqis, you want them tortured or killed?
Keep them as POWs, fine, but don't take away the humanity in your heart.

NOT tortured or killed but we'd also appreciate if Donald Rumsfeld shut up about how they shouldn't be filmed and blah di blah.

Yes, I did. Zaavia Sahib, why are you trying to make me realize the Iraqi civilians situation? I already know it. It's like Multiple World Trade Center Attacks that I saw during 9-11. We subscribed to Al-Jazeera right after the war began, and there were plenty more graphic scenes of injured children, women etc. I hate the word "Shock and Awe" and if I ever do get violent, it will be against those damn journalists AKA armchair generals, that use the word non-stop.

What is the 'norm' is not neccesarily morally correct, hope you realize that.
But I agree, although it must be so extremely tough for the Iraqi's to do this, we are Muslims, and we should not stoop to the level of those cruel and inhumane heartless stone hearted kaafirs, we should treat the POW's humanely as Islam orders us to...Those soldiers who die in combat are different but those who are taken as POW's should be treated humanely according to Islamic guidelines....
Allah o Alim
CNN should show these tapes to Americans so they know how their leaders are fooling them...
Heh...my man im against the War..not for it. Im against what they did in afghanistan too..not for it.
But still..we are muslims..we should behave like ones..that means treating the prisoners humanely and according to the rules of islam.
Im still willing to bet the soldiers died in combat and wernt executed...but Allah knows best.

Oh I dont believe that the Iraqis should kill the POWS, HELL NO, we should act better then them, we should not like and stoop down to their levels, we are Muslims and in ISLAM we do not KILL the soldier who gives up.
Even though I would like revenge for what happen in Afghanistan and Iraq, but I will leave that up to Allah (swt).
*We must remember the example of our Holy Prophet (SAW)...and his treatment of POW's in the wars of his time....
When he entered the city of Makkah after the victory, the Prophet -peace be upon him- had in front of him some of his staunchest enemies. Those who fought him for many years, persecuted his followers and killed many of them. Now he had full power to do whatever he wanted to punish them for their crimes. It is reported that the Prophet -peace be upon him- asked them, “What do you think I shall do to you now?” They pleaded for mercy. The Prophet -peace be upon him- said, “Today I shall say to you what Joseph (referring to Prophet Yusuf -peace be upon him- as mentioned in the Qur’an, Yusuf 12:92) said to his brothers, ‘No blame on you today. Go, you are all free.” Soon they all came and accepted Islam at his hands. He forgave even Hind who had caused the murder of his uncle Hamza -may Allah be pleased with him. After killing him she had his body mutilated and chewed his liver. When she accepted Islam, the Prophet even forgave her.

And you CARE about what he has to say? I flip the channel during his appearences.

Naw way. Thank god Sky and BBC don't give him the time of day. I just chanced to hear him drawl for a couple of minutes when i stumbled accross something called Fox earlier today. Any ideas what that would be?

FOX is what we term airwaves pollution in the US. Better off to keep on clicking on to a credible news source.
Newsflash for Guppies: The ABC networks in their news with Peter Jennings, showed dead Iraqi soldiers on TV. It is highly ironic that the US networks refuse to show dead US soldiers, yet they have no problems showing dead Iraqi ones. Their certainly playing by a double standard, I hope the American public realizes it.

ABC, Fox, CNN..they should be taken OFF the airwaves. Feeding a load of crap to the gullible citizens.
Khair, that's my point too. Iraqi soldiers crouching in deserts OR strewn accross roads is fine. No problem. Geneva Convention makes me laugh. I never studied International Public Law but someone put me out of my misery - who drew this up?? Was it the Americans?
