Travelling with family is always difficult for me. (I hope my wife does'nt read this.)
Mostly i travel alone and on first class or business, (ofcourse sponsored by pharmaceuticals) and there is always someone at airport to take care of everything, but with family, have to go thru all the hustle and bustle.

get to the airport a tad bit earlier... the lines will be shorter and you have more preference in terms of seating
Re: Airport Assistance in Pakistan

Not that I know of. I don't think they are any licensed companies that you can pay to help you through passport control. And I don't suggest bribing at this point, not to mention that bribing at the airport just to get a fast access to passport stamping sounds very inane. So please ignore all the above tongue-in-cheek responses.
The last few times that I have gone to Pakistan, the process at the airport (both Lahore and Karachi) in International Arrivals has generally been very very smooth. Passport control lines may take a bit of time, but they are organized and fairly efficient and you won't feel frustrated. By the time my passport got stamped, the bags were already out there, and customs was a breeze.
Of course, if you know someone who can arrange to get you "protocol" at the airport, it will become even easier, but if you don't know someone like that, I'd suggest don't bother. If you have a medical issue (someone in a wheelchair) then talk to the airline on how to accomodate that at the airport lines. That can definitely be arranged. Don't try to bribe the wheelchair pusher. He will accept the money from you gladly, but likely won't be able to speed up much.
Re: Airport Assistance in Pakistan
Would you ask a similar question for the lineups for passport control at other countries, such as UK or Canada etc?

Jaan Pehchan with the police or in the airport works really well.
This time when I went to Pakistan, This guy came announcing my name in a very heavy voice(I was scared ..I was like Allah ki Qasam that name is not mine:D)He got me from the line and told me to hand over my passport and ticket info..ofcourse I didnt know who he was so I was reluctant, neither did he say who he was...He just asked me to sit down and I made sure I kept an eye on him..he had my passport..He handled everything and I was done..Turned out he was some inspector my Father had sent, and I didnt know.It was my first time going to Pakistan alone with the kids but it sure helps.

Re: Airport Assistance in Pakistan
I was given a hard time at the passport line b/c apparently my NICOP was a photocopy and not a real one. (I never knew this; my parents held the actual one). That was a stressful time. But in general, the process to get through isn't that bad....
Re: Airport Assistance in Pakistan
You'd be in jail if you land at the US with a photocopied american passport.
Re: Airport Assistance in Pakistan
Forreal?!! I showed it at JFK and there was no problem…I traveled a few times on it and never got “caught”, but I didnt know it was actually a fotocopy.. ![]()
