Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad

Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad

^ LOL, its funny how many comparisons you can make with Israel and Pakistan, as they are so similar in so many things. For starters they were both created as democracies for a religious minority.

Yes, and when someone like Altaf points out the obvious about Pakistan, people like Spock go crazy, but they say the same thing about Israel's creation by the Brits. A lesson in hypocrisy here folks.

All other factors aside, I don’t think that all 23 of these students were preaching their faith… maybe one or two, if that. Either way, they don’t deserve this kind of treatment. Absolutely mind boggling.

Here is a press release I received via email that I recommend you read:*

23 AHMADIYYA STUDENTS EXPELLED FROM PUNJAB MEDICAL COLLEGE

Arbitrary persecution of Ahmadiyya Jama’at in Pakistan continues

All 23 Ahmadiyya Muslim students studying at the Punjab Medical College in Faisalabad,
Pakistan have been expelled for no other reason than their membership of the Ahmadiyya
Muslim Jama’at, a Community based upon teachings of peace, equality and tolerance.

Following pressure from members of the Islami-Jamiat-e-Tulaba, a nationwide student
organisation in Pakistan, the Principal of the Punjab Medical College issued a notice
confirming that the 23 Ahmadiyya students had been expelled.

The justification for the expulsions was totally baseless and spurious. It is yet another
example of the cruelty that Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan have to contend with. The
twenty-three students included eight males and fifteen females. Four of the students, all
female, were in their final year of college and thus were only months away from
qualification.

The Press Spokesman of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community said:

“Recently the National Assembly of Pakistan made a submission to the UN Human Rights
Council in which it stated its commitment to investing and supporting the education of its
citizens, as well as safeguarding the rights of all minority groups. It is thus most
unfortunate that less than one month later, this violation of basic human rights has been
allowed. It is hoped that this wholly unjust decision is revoked immediately.”

End of Release*

Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad

Alhumdolilah.

It is nice to hear that at last Pakistani authorities are taking this fitna seriously.

BTW what will you all say if some of the students were trying to spread false currency into the campus.Of course this should have been punished as it was an act of deception. Similarly when mirzais present thier false religion as islam then it is duty of educated masses to stop thier non sense.

Please, enlighten me a bit.... I guess then Hinduism and Christianity are fitna too.... Or it's just that they use a different currency like Indian Rupee or a US Dollar etc....

First of all, who are you to say that it is a false religion. And how can I say that someone is not a muslim, when they are SAYING they are muslim. If you tell me you're muslim, can I say you are not? Absolutely not. Everyone should be able to spread whatever they want and whatever they believe is true. Anyway, thats how the successful nations of the world think... If I tell you it is day outside when actually it is night, will you kick me out of your school. Is that how strong your faith is? inna lillah wa inna ilayhi rajiun

But still I saw, even with these bs laws in place, it is stupid to remove each and every Ahmadi student at a school, even if some of them were preaching their religion.

Well said.. you can't compare religion to currency.

Doesn't make much sense.

Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad

^^^ you see for mullahs religion = currency .

Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad

Mubarak ho Bao Bihari ...... Long live Pakistan ...... may this country bring up more such strong and faithful character .....

for all others .... Just wake up and see where Pakistan is heading to (teh socalled land of the Pure) :(

just people like spock dont go crazy. anyone with an ounce of patriotism would consider altaf's sycophant dramaybazi disgusting.

if it is such an obvious truth why doesnt MQM make it a part of their slogan?

MQM - Pakistan nahi banna chahiay tha. Jinnahpur should be in India

History is history, you can't deny it or hide behind patriotism. The results of creating arbitrary borders in Asia are there for everyone to see. It's time to except this fact and move beyond it.

you're reasoning with a hypothetical. there is no saying what would happen had those arbitrary borders not existed.

behind this psuedo-rational attempt is some very weak gruel. and short of intellectual inadequacy the only motivation i can find for the person making these arguments is a terrible need to be a sycophant, especially given the venue.

Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad

Iss thread may bhi MQM aagayee!

How are the Kashmir conflicts, the durand line issue, the israel-palestine issue hypotheticals?

the durand line isnt part of "the partition of India", which is the quote you were referencing.

explain to me how partition of India is the greatest mistake in history based on whatever parallels you see between Kashmir conflict and the Israel-Palestine issue. Just because the british drew the partitions doesnt make it a parallel, the british drew lines virtually all over the world, many that didnt result in major conflict.

Exactly my point, you can expand on the point and say the british drawing of borders was a blunder pretty much everywhere.

Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad

so by your logic the victorian empire should be one big country right now eh :)

Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad

In case anyone is worried sick about the students, the "punishment" for their faith has been reduced to a two week suspension. That's what I heard yesterday. Now there is no telling what happens in those two weeks.

Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad

^ or after. im guessing they're not gonna be treated like heroes when they get back.

Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad

yea thats the sad part. now that they are "exposed" they are safe not to attend the university again. Then again, we don't know what's going on there. I wish for the best
