Pakistani Colleges and Universities have become a center of political and religious activities lately. A medical college should be where students should go to gain medical knowledge.
Lately at Punjab Medical College in Faisalabad all the “Ahmadi” students were struck off from the college rolls as they were blaimed “to be spreading religious material related to Ahmadis” …
Supposedly even if they were doing that(which i don’t believe and care) is our “Imaan” that weak, that by reading some material about some one else’s religion, our religious beliefs are shattered/harmed?? No i do not belong to Ahmadism , but am outraged at the authorities who have taken this step…
Yes this is unacceptable but at the same time these students should not be allowed to spread their Ahmedi propaganda on campuses. Some of us are quite confused as it is without having to read about 'another' religion
Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad
Keep doing it folks until only "REAL Muslims" like the IJT rule the faculties of this countries ..... And Mr. GA please get ur facts right. It would be sort of a suicide mission to spread Ahmadi literature in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Arab Countries.
If an Ahmadi says SALAM to any non Ahmadi in Pakistan even this is a offence and is severely punished. Just read the Pakistan Law regarding Ahmadis and then we may talk.
^ Yaar I am saying don't ban them or anyone on religious grounds but don't let anyone preach religion on campuses either because that is not what they are there for.
I am a fierce critic of jamaat goons btw. One of my cousins went to UET (University of Error and Terror), Lahore a.k.a. MIT (Mughalpura Institute of Technology) in the mid-90s and I know how hard it was for him there....and I am not talking about studies here.

Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad
religiously risky grounds to allow preaching of any religion aside Islam, since what happens if someone converts? whereas i dont believe someone who converts from Islam should be stoned (purely my own conviction, nothing to base that on), I am sure it is problematic for people who do want to stone un-reverts.
However from a freedom perspective, I dont believe anyone should be expelled from an educational institute regardless of what faith they were proselytising. And people should be allowed to discuss religious thoughts in universities, they are SUPPOSED to be a place of ideas and learning.
If there are associated thuggery from different groups then crack down on that. Warna to schools arent the only place where religious groups can resort to violent methods.
Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad
We all know what happened, only some will admit it. For a Qadiani to propagate his religion in Pakistan is a deathwish and highly unlikely to happen. Read the letters today in Daily Times. This is pure IJT thuggery. They just invented a reason to kick out some poor Qadianis because the Jamaatis cannot tolerate the mere existence of those guys. Never mind our Nobel LAureate came from the Qadiani faith and had to suffer the humilation of not being able to be buried in his homeland. Besides, how do you define preaching and free practice of religion? If a Christian Pakistani crosses himself in front of a few Muslims, is it preaching?
In our twisted world Islam cannot survive unless every “deviant” view is eradicated. It starts with Ahmedis. For some thugs it also involves killing off Shias. It then goes on to Barelvis and Sufis. Pretty soon we will be a nation of gun toting bearded thugs run by a Taliban like government happily marching backwards in time.
Sad to state but the Ahmedis of Rabwa stopped a train and pulled off a teenage boy who had shouted some remarks..........
poked his eyes out.........some time back......all with a station full of people watching...........horrendous acts like these have caused the Sunni Majority to take a hard stance against Ahmedi Extremism........:(

Proof would be nice considering the large number of false rumours about ahmedis.

I am sure the Newspapers of the day recorded this event..it happened long before the internet......
The full story was that this boy along with his classmates was on a trip to another place and Rabwa was on the route.....He shouted some remarks against Qadiayanis/Ahmedi's, the people on the station noted that and when the group came through on their way back, this boy was pulled of the train by thugs!
Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad
^^^ Sind sagar sahib, you must be referring to the famous railway incident of nishter medical college trip in early 70s. There were many students shouting abuse at the ladies at the platform. There was a fight. Apparently, the whole event was orchestrated to bring the ahmadi problem in the news and put more pressure on Bhutto to declare them non-muslims.
No eyes were taken out. It was a fight between Jamaati thugs and the ahmadis. The khatme nabuwwat mullahs lament the "thousands of khatme nabuwwat martyrs" in their speeches. The fact is that there were hundreds of Ahmadis killed in 1954 and then in 1974. A few mullahs and agitators could have sustained some injuries during a laathi charge. Nothing more. I have not heard of any stories where ahmadis had attacked anyone under any circumstances.
Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad
Hitler's thugs propagated similar lies about Jews. "They rape our women" etc. Then he used it to justify the killing of a few million. Sipah-i-Sahaba uses similar tactics to play victims against Shias and brainwash killers - "Look they are insulting the Prophet (SAW)". Bigots use blasphemy traps against Christians - "He burned the Quran."
In our land of the pure, Ahmedis or any other minority dare not say a word in public. When you can face death sentence for saying Asslam-o-Alaikum, do you think these guys dared to preach?
These Jamaatis will have to answer for their evil deeds after their death.

Newspaper stories printed in Pakistan are not always true. I read one news piece in an Urdu paper of a real mermaid being found somewhere. I also read in a similar paper of 4,000 jews missing from WTC during the attack.
And anyway be vary of jihadi/jamaati propaganda. It is of the worst and most vile kind.
Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad
It's real unfortunate. Muslim unity's splitting like wet paper.
Either there can be/should be religious debates on campus. Or make a rule to prohibit propogation of religion on campus. Abide by the rules, and implement/enforce them strictly.
There should be no discrimination on the grounds of religion/beliefs/skin color/identity, etc..etc.... in an educational institution.
What are the rules on propogation of religion at any campus in Pakistan anyways? If there is any...? Just curious...

Very well said. This has already started in NWFP where they are killing both shias and sunni sufies.
Re: Ahmadi Students Struck off from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad
I would say the headline should have been "Pakistani Authorities following Israeli footsteps" with a sub caption "Students expelled from educational institutions for their faith".
It goes to show, all extremists are the same. Satanic to be exact. Israeli or Pakistani!
