He competes at the Canoe club there both boys will compete to qualify at Calgary Canoe Club at Glenmore Reservoir, it was my dream to see both boys qualify at the same time. But the lil guy got injured at Florida, hopefully he recovers fast.

So without knowing much about muta let me ask OP this: What’s your objection in your son doing mutaa exactly? Didnt you mention in the other thread that you dont mind anyone sleeping around?

My only objection is I sent him to a western university and not to a Taliban madrasah and I don’t want these kinds of people screwing with his head. Mutta is just a part of the thing, they are holding prayers in a room, he gave him a prayer bead and he is giving him gifts to oblige him. I had seen that in my UNI days where lots of youngsters were brainwashed by people. His girlfriend sleeps over already and this is not his first girlfriend either so that is really not an issue.
There was a lot of violence directed towards Muslims when they requested to pray at Toronto public school and there have been incidences in his UNI also so mostly to shield him from hatred or harm.

Western universities do allow for students of various religions to form faith-based organizations and to hold events ON the uni campus such as sermons and even prayer meets. Again, how do your protect your son from your OWN contempt for Muslims? And it is due to your poorly concealed contempt for Islam and Muslims…that I TRULY hope your son finds and thoroughly embraces Islam. And then it will be interesting to see if YOU try to brainwash him into leaving the religion.
And you keep harping about telling your friend to keep in touch with his girl, to send her messages and gifts and bla bla bla. But true respect and izzat for a girl includes waiting to exercise sexual relations until after marriage…(and this is seen throughout history; it’s part of being a gentleman)…and that is something you mostly likely have not taught your son. And please …spare us the anecdotes of all the Muslims you knew that waited until nikkah to get laid and treat their wives poorly…because once again…that will be evading the question and going off tangent. While I am not in favor of a temporary nikkah…some form of nikkah has got to better than having sex outside of a nikkah.
But I agree with Sid NY…if you have given your son the freedom to commit zina…then it shouldn’t matter to you if he wants to do a muttah with his girlfriend and HONOR her with marriage. If your think your son is “mature” enough to have sex, then he should be mature enough to marry his girlfriend as well.
Sharafat is not just confined to holding open doors for a girl and buying her presents and making sure to send her a text message every other hour. It also includes “self-control” in uhm…“other”…matters…a concept that society has basically thrown out the window but that used to be practiced even among Non-Muslims in Western society in the past. And to be able to exercise this control…ON TOP…of texting her every hour…and buying presents…now that’s a rare combo.
