I find it hard to believe that people dont know if Mirpuris are a part of Kashmir (which is the common term for the state of jammu and kashmir) and hence kashmiris.
the language that is spoken in the valley is called koshur and not kashmiri and yes there are hundreds of thousands of pahari speakers living in kashmir province too this is not exclusive to jammu (it is spoken in parts of pakistan india and nepal too for those who dont know)
P.S and for those who dont like it should stick to their dm which has been voted the best television channel in the world by many like yourself

Mirpuris are a part of Azad Kashmir yes but not all are Kashmiris by either birth right or ancestoral lineage.

Valley people are ethnic kashmiris, azad kashmir people are ethnic punjabis, be they gujjar/mirpuri jat/ sudhan/rajput. They are not kashmiri ethnically.
Kashmir as a state does not exist, there is no such thing as kashmiri citizens.
Much of Azad kashmir and mirpur have no history with Kashmir Proper, they were added to kashmir by the british using the river indus as a boundary and sold off to dogra maharaja.
If kashmir is made independant, it will be ruled by the valley who want nothing to do with the punjabis of Azad kashmir. Ironic isnt it?

You speak like a peeved off Indian General. That statement of yours In bold doesn't apply to all of Azad Kashmir. My Mothers' side of the family are Ethnic Kashmiris, a lot of our relatives are still living in occupied Kashmir and we have no link with Panjabis from either side of the family!

Why would an Indian general be peeved off at a kashmiri issue? Only real kashmiris from kasheer would be peeved off about punjabis in Azad Kashmir highjacking their identity.
Tell me Mr. half kashmiri(u said only your mum was kshmiri?), why is it that no one in the ladakh area refers to themselves as kashmiri or why no one in Northern Areas (gilgit agency/baltistan)refer to themselves as kashmiri? Why is it that it is only the Punjabis of Azad kashmir who keep saying they are kashmiri. Most people in UK think potohari/mirpuri is kashmiri....that is the extent of the situation. It is pretty obvious why anyone from kasheer would be peeved off.

This Aapna channel is a shame for people from azad kashmir/mirpur etc. Its giving a bad image...the presenters are all uneducated and most of the shows are a waste of time...its so boring. no quality at all. if you want to make a mirpuri channel at least get some decent presenters and shows... some educated people who dont give out a paindu image.

The question mark wasn't to question your authenticity, it was refering to the fact that you said that only your mother was kashmiri, so the question mark was only to make sure that when I said 'half kashmiri' , it was correct. Basically I wasn't sure if you were full kashmiri or half.
Ethnic kashmiris originate from the valley and no where else. I didn't say that there weren't kashmiris in Azad kashmir, there is a very small minority of ethnic kashmiris in Azad kashmir who migrated there.
I got the 90% figure from a humans right watch website, it was actually higher than 90% but I dont remember the exact figure.
Here's a good site to read, it seems prety authentic. It states clearly how small the ethnic kashmiri population of Azad kashmir is.

Anyway I refer to Azad kashmir as a whole becuase its leadership is punjabi, its majority people are punjabi, main languages are variants of punjabi, culture is punjabi. It has more in common with Punjab to its west than it does with kashmir valley which is far to the east, mountains away and 6000ft high up.

I think the presenters are still better than the crappy DM Digitial. Do you think papa Mehboob Khan is educated and doesn't give a bad image?

Aapna channel will being showing another pothwari telefilm called Maye Ni maye it stars Ifftikar Thakur, Shazada Gaffar, Iffat Choudry the guy from Palyar and mein vi kukar khasa and film and stage actress Megha.
it is written by A chahal and a production of Pothwar vision. The makers of drama series like mein vi Kukar Khasa, Sandran, chabbaray etc.

Well they don’t have any single interest program, they just have community message and apni thari apneh log and few more rubbish talk shows. tell me who is gona watch talk shows all day long?
me and everyone want to see some drama and comedy programs but they don’t have any regular show.
As far as they do have programs then i think they will air in 2100 century if we are lucky.
DM and Aapna , the only 2 kashmiri channels, but both are leading in worst channel of world category, and the thing which pis me off is that both belongs to Khasmiri. 
I hope some educated kashmiri came up with new channel to show to the world whats Kashmir all about, unlike Aapna and DM who showing that Kashmiri are not capable of anything then seating all day on TV and talk rubbish in talk shows.

Don’t get angry, they’re not kashmiri channels, they’re pothwari channels. They dont have any programs in which they speak kashmiri, so it’s a bit daft calling them kashmiri channels.

DM Digital does not belong to a Kashmiri.
Give the channel time and things will improve.
