Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
yar how did u make ur chicken pasta? and garlic baguettes?
1 pack (500g) pasta
2 chicken breast, small pieces
1 tbspoon crushed garlic
Half a cup tomatoe pureé (or blended fresh skinless tomatoes)
Oil, quarter of a cup
2 medium sized onions
0.5 tspoon chilli powder
Pinch of haldi
1.5 tbspoon corianderpowder
1 tspoon cuminpowder
0.5 cube of chicken stock tablet
Salt, according to taste
1 big carrot, cut in small slices
3 spring onions, sliced
Half red bell pepper, sliced
Half a can of sweetcorn
1- Heat the oil in a pan or wok and add cubed onions. Fry till golden brown and add the crushed garlic.
2- Now add the chicken and carrots, fry some more
3- Add all the powder masala and salt, fry for a little bit and then add the tomato pureé, chicken stock tablet and some water. Cover and let the chicken cook on medium/low flame.
4- Once the chicken is soft and the sauce has thickened add the rest of the cut vegetables and let it cook for a short while. The vegetables should still have a crunch.
Cook your pasta separately and then mix the sauce and pasta. Bon appetite!
The garlic baguette is very simple. Buy some french bread and slice it (not all the way) Then put some garlicbutter on the inside of the slices and bake it in the oven.

how did u make ur chatni of alu bukhara (i think)…
once i had biryani somewhere (our relatives from karachi)…that was sindhi biryani …the potatoes were cut just like the chicken pieces and both were having such a lovely golden colour as if baked and at a very first glance no one can tell the diff. whether its a potato or a chicken piece…i tried several times but everytime my potatoes get coated with the masala just like the picture and that golden colour doesn’t come…i tried to first fry them but that makes them shrink:-/

is it garlic butter or some sallun in the partitions:P i feel its qeema...but if anyone here is from lahore and ever eat Gourmet chicken bread ? i feel they put the chicken cooked with black pepper before baking the bread...and then bake it...bcz the chicken is just stuffed inside...can we make something like that with the french loaf?:(

Hehehe, it's melted garlicbutter with some herbs, hence the dark colour! I've never heard of the gourmet chicken bread btw

Mine turn out like that aswell! You can't tell if it's chicken or potatoes! I shallowfry (not deepfry) the potatoes first, then I add them back in the masala and let them cook a bit more. Then I take them out again in the same oil where I first fried them and let the masala go golden. Works well
