Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

So I’ve opened this thread so all of you guys can post pictures (and recipes?) of whatever it is that you’ve eaten or cooked that day. I’ve permanently installed my digi cam next to my laptop so I can take a snap of my plate

Mind you, doesn’t have to look pretty or fancy, just take a picture of whatever you’re eating. So let me be the first one…

I made chicken biryani and baingan ka raita today.

While cooking the masala

I love making/eating salads. I found this random one I made a while back while downloading pics off my camera.

It looks small, but it’s a huge dish I used!

Moderator: I made a typo in the title of this thread! Can you please correct it? Instead of kyaaya it's khaaya

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/kyaaya

I had lollipop chicken, masala fries, chicken-shrimp-beef pad thai, basil chicken w/ gravy, chicken hakka tangra masala noodles and chickken fried rice. (get together with friends :p)

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/kyaaya

Today I made 2 big tuna salads with mustard dressing for lunch (one for hubby and one for me :D) For dinner we’re having the left over biryani.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/kyaaya

Oh wow shinoo - that salad looks so delicious. I need to start making salads for my lunch - could you please share the recipe of the above salad and others you have?

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/kyaaya

Shinoo, that looks really yummy! Please share how you made them salads. Was it fresh tuna or canned?

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/kyaaya

Thanks girls! Salad is very easy and filling. I used:

Packed saladleaves (various sorts)
Canned tuna (in water)
Juicy tomatoes
Cucumber
Olives
Red bellpepper
Red onions (didn't have those so just used white)
Boiled egg (one per person)
Green beans (had to use pre boiled ones but normally use fresh ones and cook them till they still have a 'crunch')

Just built up a plate with these ingredients, make sure you top it with tuna and beans. Then use whatever dressing you like. I made my own with mayo and mustard with black pepper and seasalt.
