AAp log milk mava/khoa/khoya nahi dalte ho kya gajar ke halve me aur bhi achhcha lagta hai

yes, khoyaa makes a world of difference but we can’t get ‘REAL’ khoyaa in Canada 
wow! anDe kaa Halwa is my favourite too but yeh to bataayeN anDaa kis kaa thaa? murGhii [chicken] haa yaa battaKh [duck] kaa yaa phir shutur-murGh [ostrich] kaa?

i said we can’t get ‘REAL’ khoyaa made from 100% untreated BUFFALO milk…uskaa to zaa’iqa hii kuchh aur hotaa hai…i dunno if you had ‘PURE’ khoyaa in Pakistan…i used to get the best khoyaa when i was growing up in my village…ab to vaisa khoyaa India meN bhii aasaanii se nahiiN miltaa.**

That is true, but i have never had the real khoya anyway so don't know the difference
Whenever we go to pakistan i don't drink the tea or anything with milk because i just can't stand the taste of the dairy there :(

i hear this very complain from almost anyone who goes to Indian/Pakistan...and, i think, it's very much true! i don't care the peculiar smell as long as i get the taste...i guess i'm a genuine paindoo :D hehe!

Yea, we add milk or cream but it gets cooked and dries up. It leaves the flavour but no liquid.

Nice!!! I put khoya in my andey ka halwa…I had a hard time finding it yesterday, my usual desi mithai store did not have any, so I had to drive across town to their other branch to get some..grrrrr…next time, I’m going to make my own!!!
