Thank you!
Chicken corn soup–I loosely followed this recipe as a guideline and put in some additional shredded boiled chicken in it…

I used Fauzia’s recipe from facebook; http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.228796423800506.78662.228648080482007&type=1
from this link i’ve tried saucy baked chicken, malai tikka gravy, chicken sharjani, and butter chicken - the first 2 being AMAZING and the other 2 pretty good too =)
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
^ I agree. I have tried Fauzia's saucy baked chicken and malai tikka gravy as well, and both have turned out excellent. Even made these for a party and they were a huge hit. Everything looks great Maheen! :)
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

i dont know but i thought it was different esp due to all those things going in the marination including a bunch of corriander and red onion etc. I didn't enjoy it as much due to cooking all day and cleaning etc but the guests and hubby loved it!
Havent tried the chicken manchurian yet.
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
I made the saucy baked chicken again yesterday, but everytime I make it, I slow cook it on the stove top. Haven't baked it in the oven as of yet. Maybe that's why mine tasted different? Try it that way, it turns out pretty darn good, if I must say so.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
I think this is my favourite thread on this site! I never post, but I love reading it :)
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
OK, so I made:
Chocken Chowmein
Chilli Chicken with gravy
Egg fried rice
Chicken corn soup
Above you can see my most recent chilli sauce purchase. It's fantastic. There's also the chicken marinating for the chilli chicken, and cut up veggiies.
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
Sara and Maheen have asked for recipes:
Chicken Chowmein:
Boil noodles. I used spaghetti.
cut up assorted veggies [see above...not the square cut ones in the orange colander. Those are for the chilli chicken]
dice chicken [boneless]
Fry chicken with some ginger, salt, pepper and vinegar.
Add all veggies and soya sauce.
Quick stir fry, then add the noodles.
Chilli chicken:
Marinate chicken pieces in one egg, salt, pepper, corn starch, vinegar and soy sauce
for an hour.
Then fry it up in some oil.
add enough water to cover and some slit chillies, red onions and bell peppers that have been quartered. Bring to a boil. Add cornstarch to thicken. Add that hot sauce I have above per taste. Done.
