PASNI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif today visited Hoshab area in Southern Balochistan to inspect new roads being built by Army engineers as part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to ISPR, General Raheel Sharif lauded the pace and quality of work done by the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO).
In Pasni, the COAS held meeting with Balochistan Governor, Chief Minister and Chief Secretary.
According to DG ISPR Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, total road being built by the FWO for CPEC is 870 KMs long, out of which, 632 KMs road has been completed within last one and half years.
The CPEC involves energy and infrastructure projects linking the neighbor’s economies and creating an “economic corridor” between Pakistan’s Gwadar port and China’s western Xinjiang region.
The corridor consists of a network of roads, railways and pipelines.

He said Zarb-e-Azb operation enjoys the support of people of the country from all walks of life.

The Army Chief stressed the need for involving youth for enduring peace and prosperity in Balochistan.
He said now over 18,000 youth from all parts of Balochistan have joined Armed Forces and Frontier Corps in recent times.

Re: A good day in pakistan. COAS took PM on a ride

Ah i missed what you said here. Always late

Re: A good day in pakistan.

Fear lolz, If you think that is how Army is trained then you know nothing about Pakistan army.
Do you know the number vehicles follow/guide Ganja when he pass a road?

Re: A good day in pakistan.

Do you know number of vehicles that follow "Military" Generals and COAS ? Ganja is an elected leader but generals of army protected ? Yes I know nothing about army training, I do know that largest surrender after world war 2 was done by this army, I know this army was sleeping and woke up to Siachen gone. I know that entire 1st armored core was destroyed in a day by Indian 10th mountain light infantry in battle of usal uttar, I know that the most shameful defeat of Patton tanks is with Pakistan army.

In any case, So now we are comparing security of a general who is a soldier with an elected leader who is not trained militarily. BTW I come from a army family with my father, brother, grand father all served. All that means that I know something about army and my friend there is nothing to be proud of it!

My point was just sarcastic though but as for Paksitan army I know enough that its only army in world that has lost every war it fought in battle field against armed enemy and won every war it fought against unarmed civilian governments. If generals were any brave they wont be travelling with huge security as they do..

Re: A good day in pakistan. COAS took PM on a ride

Someone either got rejected or booted out of PMA.

Re: A good day in pakistan.

If having security with you is cowardice then NS is coward, right? He is right in doing so just because he is elected leaders, lolz.
Khud-kushi aur bahadri main farq hota hai, shayed aap samjhtay hon. Warfare planning and bravery are two different things. If you want no surrender even in case of warfare failure or when supply line is cut then you are simply expecting suicide from those army men who became victim of warfare failure.
Remember these are the "coward" generals and soldiers, without help of them, your "brave" PM cannot even make a move. You should be ashamed of that instead.
I hope your beloved PM hire some brave American soldiers to save himself from bombers.

Re: A good day in pakistan. COAS took PM on a ride

Or may be some one decided to read the true history that wasnt taught in Pakistan like Battle of Usal uttar, Genocide of Bengalies (though greatly exaggerated), Fiasco of Siachen suit orders. Perhaps the write of Book Military INC was also rejected or booted, or perhaps Dr. Hoodbhoy was also rejected and booted or perhaps its that some of us have guts and courage to speak the turth and others dont, perhaps perhaps perhaps ...

Re: A good day in pakistan.

Who told you PM cant make a move with out htem ? They have guns, tanks and planes so offcourse they can Bully an uramed elected Govt as they have in the past but Who told you that a PM willingly need these non-bloody civilians ? Times are changing, and for army that has Osama 2 minutes from PMA, and didnt know what happened in middle of night, well I cant sing their praise lol you do that and I cant compared a armed military general who is above any law with a lowly elected Civilian leaders. I mean whats the comparison, on one side there are simple people elected by Vote of people and on other hand these are big macho men with guns, tanks and every thing.. the only question is why these macho men need security.

Re: A good day in pakistan.

Are you suggesting that if pm decides to visit Baluchistan or northern areas to make propaganda speech, he does not consult army intelligence? I doubt he would travel from Punjab assembly to model town without consulting intelligence.
I have no respect for such elected feudal. Wrong is wrong, even if it comes from majority. Beyond Lahore, most of MPLn electables are ghudas and feudals, and corruption is their absolute right. You sing their songs.

Re: A good day in pakistan.

No I am singing songs of a system and a process. I cant sing a song of an institution. If elected people are bad that is because no one allowed system to run and when system started a whole party of Gundays was thrashed by the power of Vote. So yes I will sing song of the process while you bow head to an Institute that is above any accountability otherwise there would be several life time prisons and hangings if any other respectable army had surrendered like little girls in 71 but hey they are holy. As for "feudal" actually the current PM is industrialist and not feudal but who cares about being honest.

Re: A good day in pakistan. COAS took PM on a ride

You say your grandfather, father and brother served in Army and this is the venom you spit against the Army? If this is the kind of attitude you have towards the Army, I shudder to think what kind of members of Pak Fauj they would have been to give you that 'inside' view. No respectable military family abuses the Army the way you do - and I know exactly what I am talking about here. Either you have a very personal chip on the shoulder or it is just very convenient to pull an innocent little lie in order to get the 'licence' to abuse the Fauj.

By the way, somewhere in this world Kiyani brothers must be abusing the Fauj non stop coz their sheet just got exposed and their brother was the COAS. So yes, you get all sorts.

Re: A good day in pakistan.

Did you read what i said?
I said most of MPLn electables are ghudas and feudals. Only PM being industrialist does not make PMLn any less of a fedual party.
I do criticize army for their wrong doings. but i dont hate blindly, unlike your comment regarding 71 suggests. also nonsensical comment like COAS being afraid of baluch separatists. If you were so righteous about baluchistan issue you would have asked ganjas why Motorway in baluchistan is two lanes when its 6 lanes in punjab.

Re: A good day in pakistan. COAS took PM on a ride

Pak Fauj is not God, Pak Fauj is not Angel! Its an Institution that needs accountability. Accountability needs Truth. Yes my brother is currently serving, my father is retired and my Grand father(s) both paternal and maternal were officers in Pak Army. But Does that MEAN I dont Speak Truth ? I grew up in Pakistan idolizing Army, No One every taught me or any one the truth of 65, WHY? Chawinda war history is detailed but Not Battle of Usal Uttar? Bengalies left Pakistan because of hindu professor but No truth about Operation Search Light. False heroics of Siachen but no truth about how Siachen was lost when a Drunk general gave the order of Suits to same company that deals with India exposing strategy.

Look, believe it or not, I have no damn chip but If we dont speak Truth who will? and if there is no truth how the accountability will happen? Are you ok with Army running over governments and not let process complete, not let people grow politically? Are you ok with an Army that is either harboring or dont know about the words Most wanted living in 5 minutes from Kakul, An army that got Zaleel in middle of night by just two helicoptesrs of Americans? These are the reason Salala happened because Americans came to conclusion that Pak Army is not what they say.

We as a nation can choose to sing praises of Army or we can choose to be honest so in the process a more honest Army emerges that protects us and not enslave us. Choice is yours. I have my conscience clear. I am more heart broken than any one when I speak up against Army but I am not Speaking against Army, I am speaking against an Elitist mindset. I believe in supremecy of Civilian rule, I believe in system and I absolutely believe in accountability. The most power institution is Army, so care to explain why no court martial on 93K surrender, Why no one question their Imaan ? Look at Battle of Iwo Jima or D Day landing and how Americans / Japanese / Germans fought and died. Had those 93K died instead of surrendering mindset would be different. Why no Court martial after Abbottabad raid, how come ISI general went on like a Dog barking on Politicians when under that Dog's watch Abbottabad happened.

Asking tough questions and being truth full is having Chip on shoulder than so be it ... Life is too short to not ask tough questions.

Re: A good day in pakistan. COAS took PM on a ride

Your whole story reminds of Hitler's mentality. He was so taken back by Germany's surrender in 1918 that he couldn't find peace until he decided that he will get rid of every single Jew living in Germany who he thought responsible for surrendering. Thank God the whole of Europe is out of that BS mentality. Germany would not have become an economic powerhouse if bunch of fascists were still crying over the 1918 'surrender'.

It is one thing to say Army must not take over, but the way you are abusing Pak Fauj is like reading the filth you find under Youtube comments by Indians and Afghans. It makes you look more like a beneficiary of Nawas League than a member of three generation military family. I also belong to a Military family (well slightly more indirectly), and no respectable Military kid stoops so low to vehemently abuse the Army especially if they have seen the hard work and sacrifices their parents had made - if you haven't see that personally that's a different story. Political and ideological differences can still be there.

I don't believe in martial law, and unlike fake 'democracy' champions, I genuinely believe in political competition, equal distributions of wealth and development. The latter breed is also a curse in every sense of the word.

Re: A good day in pakistan.

So you want to make 6 lane road in the middle of no where when you can make a 2 lane road now that is expandable if needed. Interstate system, equivalent of Motorways are mostly two lane all across Americ and changes to 3,4,5,6,8 where its needed. When you have limited amount, will you make whats needed now or what "may be" needed later. Fate of Baluchistan today is mostly because of the ones that are driving. Baluchistan is getting better because of the ones who are sitting next as elected ones and the ones who have the mainstream baluch leaders with him. You respect or not, its irrelevent. The power of Vote is bigger than all of us and thats why I love power of Vote because it makes individuals irrelevent.
