One basic fact that antibol fails to understand is that there was large scale migration during the partition. It is beyond a child to understand that the migration would be the maximum in the border areas. Pakistan was touted as the land of the pure and no muslim lost the opportunity to board the first available mode of transport to the land of the pure where almost all of their dreams were shattered.
If there was a systematic cleansing of the minorities in these states, there would have been a hue and cry regarding the same. If the population of a particular community had to decrease from 60->0, it takes a quite an amount of concentrated effort to achieve the same. this would have alerted the various human rights groups and the press who would have raised a ruckus about the whole issue..

Sikhs a minority in Punjab got all the blame, while Hindu chauvinists got home Scott free. Sikhs then paid with their blood many times over to the same Hindu chauvinists be it Dilli, or Amritsar.
The same Hindu chauvinist now show up laughing as if they made some big achievement.
Antilolb, I understand your point, and its really painful to read when one's community was under fire. We also find it very painful when we read about partition and stories regarding this.
but somebody saying that Nehru, Gandhi and Patel asked Sikhs to kill Muslims is hillarious.

the problem with anti is that why indians are making an issue of the systamatic dismantling of pakistan minorities, while we indians allegedly go about dismantling our minorities silently. This is his problem. So he will drum up anything to show that. He never takes into consideration that what we are talking about in pakistan is minorities that chose to live in pakistan after partition. Take any stats u want and u can see that the minorities in pakistan are basicaly reducing in no. while in India opposite is true.

Queer! What does Israel has to do with Bharati Punjab, Himachal, and Haryana? Majority Muslims of these areas didn't want to leave but Hindia kicked them out.
You guys need to calm down and accept that fact that Bharat did kick out the Majority Muslim landowners. Bringing in few Bihari labrorers is not going to cut it.

The Muslim Landowners who migrated to Pakistan lost their lands just like the Hindu & Sikh Landlords lost their lands on seeking refuge in India.
Please check your history.
The Sikhs and Hindus owned Eighty Per Cent of the Lahore Properties but since they had to run for the Border to seek refuge in India they also lost all their Properties, Lands etc. in Pakistan.
Even today the Total Population of Indian Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh is about 50 Million or so where the Pakistani Punjab Population should be about 90 to 100 Million out of a Total Population of 160 Million or so.

You are telling me that Punjabis of haryana and himachal pradesh were not in favour of punjabi .normally when a big state or province is divided without any major political reason they are divided into smaller units for better
administration.so it was not the case here it was for script only.

Oh Baboo raam, this thread is based on correct history and it clearly shows, Bharati “tolerance” that converted a 60% majority down to few percentage points.
Even using your own stats, majority 52% went down to mere 4%. If you look deeper, you will find that landowner Muslims are in fact 0% in Bharati areas discussed in this thread.
Your sense of Maths is even poorer. Non-Muslim’s in West Punjab lost few thousands of acres while stealing millions of acres of East Punjabis. You want to say it was all same same. **Well it is a shame shame Baboo raam. **
80% of Lahore is a news to me. Most of the Hindus were concentrated in Model Town Area of Lahore. A great development one may say. However equating 500 acres of Model town to millions of acres of Muslim lands in East Punjab can only be done in Bharat.

Who knows how many would have been ‘secular Bharati muslims’ and stayed in Bharat, had Hindus and sikhs not started murdering muslims in thousands?
There were many muslims who had chosen to stay in Bharat in 1947, but were later forced to migrate because they knew their religion and culture would be under threat, and they came to this conclusion because of Hindu chest-beating all over the country to make their part of British India a ‘Bharat’ of Hindu mythology.
