as for the likes of afridis, misbahs , akmals…these guys are not cut out for this level of cricket. after playing 250+ ODIs afridi still doesn’t know how to play in a demanding situation. he’s done this many times , most recently in the 20/20 WC and now in this match. seems like afridi is a lost cause when it comes to planning innings for/around him. misbah just doesn’t know how to up his tempo for an ODI match.i wonder how he got those quick runs in 20/20 when he can’t even play a decent shot for a single run. akmal…well the less he squeaks the better.

and how could Lawson address or cure this problem?....dude it (lack of mental toughness) is in our genes and we depict it every where……from social life to politics (Musharaff succumbing under US pressure every time and politicians giving up against Musharaff and the list simply goes on) to sports….such problems can never be cured by anyone……they become part of national psyche….anyway, I am not trying to be philosophical here…just stating obvious facts…P for Pakistan and P for pathetic both as a nation and as a team…I saw the match and nitni and morkel were not bowling wasim/waqar type spell by any mans. We simply threw our wickets away. And afridi wants to be captain. Idiot.

Misbah needs to calm himself down for onedayers. He doesnt plan his innings as well as he used to in 20-20 because he was more comfortable at that level. If he has to be considered a good international player, he needs to perform in all forms.

Afridi's batting is a plus to his batting but he must recognize that people expect some responsibility from him in crunch situations (still after all these years). He is a phenomal talent and his calmness with the ball is something amazing but he needs to find the way Bob brought out that amazingly consistent all-rounder off him

I think the training camp for the series against India should be held in Swat right under the nose of Maulana Fazlullah. That should teach them something about handling pressure and traumatic situations

Maybe it will help if the Paki public stops fuking around with the cricket team when they lose.............I am pretty sure that they are mentally strong but the fear of paki public reaction messes them up and in turn they become religious to save their butts.
