Don't worry appleb, it is done dusted and you were good this morning, sometimes it is good to shock the system with a few more calories.. maybe do an extra 10/15 minutes of exercise to cover for yesterday

today i had an apple and a peanut butter sandwich and a cup of tea,lunch only a bowl of cantaloupe and 2 oranges *trying to balance my kal ka dinner :bummer:

Curves done : I spoke to the trainer, she thinks it's around 400 cal burn in half an hour so I can reach my 1000 cal burn hopefully by atleast 1 hr skipping and doing my Curves :)

Feeling good..

Having lunch which is paella.. with prawns.. tastes so eurghh even if it is Waitrose

and regarding that skipping thing u’ll get used to it INSHALLAH… when i started i used to do 5 jumps bari mushkil se but now ALHUMDULILAH i easly do 70 in one go

Alright, I had a really good day yesterday! I ate around 500 calories only and felt great! I worked out for an hour and a half. Jumping rope is indeed a difficult workout but it is also one of the best and cheapest. I have been doing it for 2 years now (on and off) I can do 400 skips without stopping. That's not much actually! Time wise that's only 4 to 6 minutesFor me. I stop to catch a breath and in the mean time I stretch and do crunchesAnd stuff. I am drenched in sweat when I am done.

Fasting starts in a couple of days, how has everyone planned that

I think sehri is at 2.30 am here in the UK so will probably eat at around 10 in the evening, wake up for sehri and have a glass of water, read namaz, then do some exercise and then sleep on the train and get into work at 7am and leave work around 4pm, gym and back home to pray and then rest

I had a semi good day yesterday. Workout wise it was great. Food wise it was okay. I went and bought more healthier food.. milk.. more veggies and fruits.

So I want to know what you ladies are doing workout wise. What exactly is your routine like?? Do you use treadmill, do you use ellipticals, dvds, working out indoors or outdoors... Lets share so that we all can take advantage of it. I'll get a rope too and start skipping. Seems like you guys really enjoy it.

hi theorist, i want to know as well that how do u manage with only 500 cals.. what do u eat? i feel like its quite unhealthy to have only 500cals a day :hmmm: i have read som where that its good and healthy to have minimum 1200 cals a day to lose weight .. and regarding skippng yes its really good and effective workout .. my workout routine is like 45 mins of brisk walk and jog ( i go to a park for walking/jogging ) so i take 2 rounds of walking and r rounds pf jogging than 12-15 mins skipping and another 12-15 mins of yoga

and confucios whats the time of magriz azaan there ?

To Spirals Question - Workout wise
Curves - 35 minutes
Skipping - 30 minutes yet (lots of stopping at the mo, keen to go on for longer even 5 mins at time..

Running at gym: 45 mins and 5 miles.. This will be the plan moving forward .. currently doesn't happen

AppleB - 1st August - Fast begins 2.37 am and Fast ends 8.51 pm :p. This is North London ..

ordered the dvd last night on amazon as asda didnt have it, and will have to wait 2-3 days :(

my stats are -
height - 5'6
weight - 18 stone :( never lost the weight from pregnancy
goal weight - 10 stone
to lose - 8 stone

thats a lot to achieve but inshallah gonna do the the 30 day shred like all the time! and diet ! :)

How did I manage on 500 cals? It jus happened so that I did not get to eat much yesterday. I had sweetend oatmeal in the morning with water. No coffee soda all day. Just had a cup of chai. When I got home from work, I had a 6" subway sandwich. I only added turkey salad and light mayo on it. ^so I imagine it mus have been at least 300 calories. That's all I had. I just didn't feel hungry yesterday. Of course I can't do this everyday. I was feeling so energetic that I ended up working out for an hour and a half. So technically burned off everything I ate.Lol P.S. 500 calories is actually not that less for someone of my size.I am pretty short and I dont have much to lose. My BMR is 900To a 1000 calories.

8 stone is a good target to keep but I think it will help to have a 30 day target - I am aiming for the 26th of August as that is when I fly out to see hubby..

so maybe give yourself a 22 lbs target (10 kg) that would get you down to .. counting on fingers.. 16st 4lbs

If you are fasting this will help, ignore anyone who says that your metabolism slows down in Ramdan.. it slows down by 10% maximum so you can still lose weight if you exercise..

My logic is that I haven't heard of anyone dieing in Ramadan from going to the gym .. and there is nothing that brings determination and strength of mind as your faith does..

I have a motivation that I will hear a Monsoon dress on the 26th when I go to Pk, It is beautiful blue afghani style dress and I decided to wear a churidaar pajama underneath..

It is a size 10 and it currently very snug around my waist so keen to wear that with no visible fatty bulges.

Anyone else got a dress to incentivise them into losing?

^ that's a great incentive! I have my old clothes to fit into, lol. I just can't fit into any of my jeans anymore. I used to wear a size 0-1. Now i can't even fit into 3! Us size 0 is UK size2 I think.

UK sizes’s are 4 numbers more than US.. so Size 0 US is size 4 UK.. :bummer: which is tiny!!!

If I was near you, I’d be trying to feed you :slight_smile: but if you feel that size 0 is what you feel most comfortable in then we’re all here for you.. I guess you must have a tiny body frame!
